A.Managerial Duties

·Strategic management of key partners across China under the guidance and support of the EA/SEA Regional Manager.

·Manage and develop the China market for Leeds Beckett through a partnership-led strategy.

·Contribute to the international admissions, marketing, and partnership development.

·Monitor international education activity in China against agreed plans and provide appropriate information and data to Leeds Beckett University.

·To inform and advise staff at all levels on the marketing and promotion of the University internationally with specific reference to international student recruitment in China.

·To act as a direct line manager for identified members of the China team and contribute to the development of those colleagues.

·Monitor and report on budgetary matters on agreed activities to deliver maximum return on investment.

B.Partnership and Agent Management Duties

·Develop and cultivate strong relationships with Leeds Beckett University’s agents and partners.

·Increase new business for LBU in terms of partnerships and other opportunities in China to develop robust revenue streams for Leeds Beckett.

·Act as the key point of contact for LBUs China partnerships with support from the EA/SEA Regional Manager.

·Undertake international recruitment and promotional missions and undertake follow-up work after these activities to drive student recruitment both onshore and offshore.

·Assist with visits from faculty staff, leading academics and senior professional service colleagues to key partners and agents across China.

·Be a lead for LBUs summer school programme in China with support from the Global Engagement Team at LBU.

·Manage a network of agents in key cities across China.

C.Marketing and Recruitment Duties

·Increase and develop Leeds Beckett University’s brand identify across China.

·Manage with the support of the China team multiple social media channels and develop LBUs China website to increase engagement, followers, and interactions to enhance interest in LBU.

·Work closely with colleagues from LBUs Marketing Department to promote the University within the brand guidelines.

·Develop and enhance LBUs Chinese specific marketing collateral for promotional use.

·Collect and disseminate marketing information and associated data capture and management to develop LBUs conversion of students from China (at all levels, undergraduate, postgraduate and research).

·Act as an ambassador for Leeds Beckett University during all business-related duties.

D.Other

·Keep well informed about the University in all relevant aspects of its work to ensure optimum promotional effectiveness.

·Liaise with external bodies such as British Council China and UKCISA and internal support services and groups including, Alumni Office, Accommodation. IT, the Library.

·Maintain an accurate, updated knowledge of immigration and UK Home 

Office regulations.

·Work closely with colleagues from across different University departments.

·Represent the University at relevant events, including working irregular hours and travelling as approved by LBU management.

Experience: 

• Significant international student recruitment experience in China and knowledge of UK higher education system

• Experience of line management and operational support for partnership development in China

• Proven track record of increasing student recruitment numbers from China (both online and offline products)

• Experience of creating and making presentations to a high standard in both Mandarin and English

• Excellent professional level of English and Mandarin proficiency (translation: verbal and written)

Qualifications：

• Strong educational background including at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (marketing or business)
