Thank you for your query. We have checked the original raw images of Figure 4B,D and we can confirm that our these two images were plagiarized by Jin et al in their Figure 3B (Jin et al. Int J Oncol, 2015). Our paper (Lin et al. Sci Rep, 2015) was submitted on October 20, 2014, accepted on March 25, 2015, and officially published on April 28, 2015. However, their paper (Jin et al. Int J Oncol, 2015) was submitted on May 17, 2015, accepted on July 20, 2015, and published online on August 6, 2015. That is to say, the official publication date of our paper is obviously earlier than the submission date of their paper. Moreover, we noticed that the discussion section of their paper (Jin et al. Int J Oncol, 2015) cited our this paper (Lin et al reported that ectopic overexpression of miR-33b in highly metastatic breast cancer cells suppresses cell self-renewal, migration and invasion in vitro and inhibits lung metastasis in vivo by targeting HMGA2, SALL4 and Twist1.) as the reference #25. Recently, we also noticed that due to the fact that their paper contained several data which had already apparently been published previously, the International Journal of Oncology decided to retract their paper (Jin et al. Int J Oncol, 2015) on January 4, 2024.
