One time, I was on a high-speed train when I received a phone call from an unknown number. Since I had been expecting several deliveries around that time, I decided to answer it. The train was passing through a tunnel, and the signal was poor, so I couldn’t hear the other person clearly. We kept saying “hello, hello” to each other, but the connection was too bad to have a proper conversation.As I was trying to make out what the person was saying, I realized that I might be speaking a bit too loudly because a few people nearby started looking at me. It was a little awkward, and I felt like I might have disturbed their rest. I didn’t want to be rude, but I also needed to figure out who was calling.Fortunately, the train soon exited the tunnel, and the signal improved. I was finally able to hear the person clearly, and as I had suspected, it was the delivery driver calling to confirm some details about my package. I quickly finished the conversation and apologized to the people around me with a smile, hoping I hadn’t bothered them too much.The experience was a bit embarrassing because I felt like I had disrupted the peaceful atmosphere on the train. However, I was also relieved that I managed to handle the call and that it turned out to be an important one.
