A couple of years ago, I visited the Forbidden City in Beijing during the National Day holiday. Since it was both a public holiday and the peak tourist season, the place was incredibly crowded. From the moment we lined up at the entrance, there were huge crowds everywhere, making it hard to move around freely.I went there with a few friends, excited to see the famous historical site. The architecture and history of the Forbidden City are amazing, and I had always wanted to visit. However, because of the large crowds, it was difficult to fully enjoy the experience. Many of the indoor exhibition halls were packed with people, and it was hard to even get close to see the displays properly. We spent most of our time trying to navigate through the sea of people, which made the visit less enjoyable.Although the Forbidden City is an incredible place filled with beautiful buildings and rich history, the experience wasn’t as good as I had hoped because of the sheer number of tourists. It was difficult to appreciate the beauty and significance of the place while constantly being surrounded by such large crowds.I felt a bit disappointed that I couldn’t fully enjoy the visit, but I also understood that holidays tend to attract more tourists.
