巴西的 Choro（肖罗），是巴西的标志性音乐类型之一，常被称为“巴西流行音乐之母”，是一种生动活泼的音乐流派，起源于19世纪末的巴西里约热内卢。其特点是使用传统的葡萄牙和非洲节奏，并结合欧洲古典音乐元素，尤其是法国印象派运动的元素。

Choro 这个单词在葡萄牙语中的意思是哭泣，这是由于它早期的旋律自带一种忧郁的气质，所以被这样称呼。

Choro 通常由小型乐队演奏，常见的乐器包括长笛、单簧管、cavaquinho（四弦吉他）、吉他和pandeiro（巴西手鼓）。这种音乐以复杂的旋律、和声及即兴演奏著称，非常注重演奏者的技艺和技巧。

Brazilian Choro, often referred to as "the mother of all Brazilian popular music," is a vibrant and lively musical genre that originated in the late 19th century in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is characterized by its use of traditional Portuguese and African rhythms, combined with elements of European classical music, particularly from the French impressionist movement.

Choro is typically performed by small ensembles, often featuring instruments such as the flute, clarinet, cavaquinho (a small four-string guitar), guitar, and pandeiro (a type of Brazilian tambourine). The music is known for its intricate melodies, complex harmonies, and improvisational elements, with a strong emphasis on virtuosic playing and technical skill.

The genre has evolved over time, incorporating influences from other Brazilian music styles and jazz, and has been a significant influence on the development of bossa nova and samba. Some of the most famous composers and musicians associated with Choro include Pixinguinha, Jacob do Bandolim. Today, Choro continues to be a popular genre in Brazil and has gained international recognition for its unique blend of cultural influences and musical innovation.

Capoeira is a traditional Brazilian physical art that combines elements of martial arts, dance, music, and acrobatics.

As one of Brazil’s most iconic cultural expressions and national sports, Capoeira practitioners begin their performance by dancing to the rhythms of traditional percussion instruments, interspersed with numerous martial arts moves such as side flips, spinning kicks, and handstands. It is both a dance and a martial art.

Spectators are energized by its graceful spinning kicks and the passionate, vibrant samba rhythms, while practitioners enjoy dancing for self-entertainment, training in martial arts and fitness, and simultaneously cultivating personal self-improvement. It is a trendy activity.

桑巴唐于2006年5月在北京成立，原名桑巴亚 Sambasia，源自美国旧金山桑巴亚 Sambasia 巴西打击乐学校。

这是中国唯一一个受国际桑巴协会认证的专业学校以及表演团队，也是第一个受巴西文化部邀请，在萨尔瓦多嘉年华官方游行中表演的非巴西籍桑巴学校。

同样他们延续了巴西传统桑巴学校、美国旧金山 Sambasia 的教学模式和理念，结合国人的认知和表达方式，打造出全新的体验式教学方法。在这17年中带给无数的成年人和少年儿童丰富的音乐体验和欢乐。

桑巴唐是社团性质的音乐学校，包含成人打击乐、成人舞蹈、少儿打击乐、亲子打击乐等不同课程。希望用巴西音乐和舞蹈给人们带来快乐，建立人与人交流的平台，让音乐跨、越文化和年龄的界限，融入人们的生活。让每个参与者找到自我、释放自我，用音乐愉悦自己，并将快乐分享给他人。

Templo Do Samba, originally named Sambasia, was established in Beijing in May 2006. It traces its roots to Sambasia, a Brazilian percussion school based in San Francisco, USA.

It is the only professional school and performance group in China certified by the International Samba Association and was the first non-Brazilian samba school invited by Brazil’s Ministry of Culture to perform in the official parade of Salvador Carnival.

Templo Do Samba carries on the teaching methods and philosophy of traditional Brazilian samba schools and Sambasia in San Francisco, adapting them to Chinese perspectives and forms of expression. They have developed a unique experiential teaching approach that has brought rich musical experiences and joy to countless adults and children over the past 17 years.

As a community-based music school, Templo Do Samba offers a variety of courses, including adult percussion, adult dance, children’s percussion, and parent-child percussion. Their mission is to use Brazilian music and dance to bring happiness to people, create a platform for interpersonal communication, and allow music to transcend cultural and generational boundaries, integrating into daily life.

Templo Do Samba strives to help every participant discover themselves, express themselves, and find joy through music, while sharing that happiness with others.
