Today I will introduce you to an adorable endangered species, the finless porpoise. They inhabit the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Finless porpoises are accustomed to working in pairs, with no more than four or five individuals in groups. Like other dolphins, they need to jump out of the water for ventilation. They have a lively temperament, often swimming up and down in the water. They feed on small fish. The number of finless porpoise is getting smaller as a result of human activity, so we need to protect them from being perished.

They have a lively temperament, often swimming up and down in the water during ventilation, moving their bodies up and down between the tides. They feed on small fish. Once they have spotted its prey, it will lunge forward and attempt to swallow it straight whole. The finless porpoise was once listed as critically endangered because of the damage to its habitat caused by human activities, meaning that it was even rarer than the giant panda. However, in recent years, due to the promulgation of the Yangtze River fishing ban policy, their numbers have rebounded, and they can once again be seen playing on the Yangtze River.
