耶罗尼米斯·博斯,公元1450年-公元1516年八月)是一位十五至十六世纪的多产荷兰画家。他多数的画作多在描绘罪恶与人类道德的沉沦。博斯以恶魔、半人半兽甚至是机械的形象来表现人的邪恶。他的图画复杂,有高度的原创性、想像力,并大量使用各式的象征与符号,其中有些甚至在他的时代中也非常晦涩难解。博斯被认为是20世纪的超现实主义的启发者之一。Hieronymus Bosch (1450 AD - August 1516 AD) was a prolific Dutch painter of the 15th and 16th centuries. Most of his paintings depict evil and the degradation of human morality. Bosch represented the evil of man in the form of demons, half-humans, half-beasts, and even machines. His pictures are complex, highly original, imaginative, and make extensive use of symbols and symbols, some of which were very obscure even in his time. Bosch is considered one of the inspirators of surrealism in the 20th century.博斯出生于绘画世家,祖父、父亲都是画家。自幼受到家庭影响,擅长用细密笔法,描绘充满民间趣味的作品。同时又受到民间艺术的培育,成年后即加入圣母兄弟会,并为这个会的礼拜堂绘制壁画。Bosch was born into a family of painters, both his grandfather and father were painters. Influenced by his family since childhood, he is good at using fine brushwork to depict works full of folk interest. Trained in folk art, he joined the Brotherhood of Notre Dame as an adult and painted frescoes for its chapel.
