Accor announced the opening of Swissôtel Sanya Yalong Bay and Grand Mercure Sanya Yalong Bay – two unique hotels creating a spectacular and sustainable resort community amid the tropical beauty of Hainan Island. Accor continues to expand the presence of both Swissôtel and Grand Mercure across Greater China. In 2024, a total of seven new Grand Mercure hotels were added in Hangzhou, Changzhou, Lushan, Kunming, Shiyan, Sanya, and a new flagship in Wuhan. With 26 Grand Mercure hotels in operation and 30+ more in development, new openings in 2025 will include Shenyang and Wuxi. Meanwhile, Swissôtel aims to double its footprint in Greater China, with a current total of eight destinations in operation, plus another eight in development.
