Chinese Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) was built in Dongguan in December 2011 and completed the construction of Phase I in August 2018. The Multipurpose reflectometer (MR) is the one of the three instruments in Phase I of CSNS. Through the construction of this reflectometer, the technique of polarized neutron reflectometry has been achieved for the first time in China. In this talk, I will briefly review the construction of MR. Then, I will report the details of magnetization measurement in magnetic thin films using the PNR [1-4]. Furthermore, I will briefly introduce the functional applications using PNR. In particular, I will report on the interlayer DM interaction in the chiral magnetic multilayers based on the knowledge of the magnetization distribution in the samples [5-7].[1] Z.C.
