Mogwai于1995年在格拉斯哥成立，现由Stuart Braithwaite（吉他，主唱）、Barry Burns（吉他，钢琴，合成器，人声），Dominic Aitchison（贝斯）和Martin Bulloch（鼓手）组成。在Mogwai过往的十张专辑中，几乎每张唱片都是耳熟能详的，从专辑封面到歌曲都是国际音景中广泛取得重要地位的佳作：

1997年首专《Young Team》被公认为是90年代最具影响力的作品之一；2014年的专辑《Rave Tapes》入选当年英国十大最佳唱片,成为当年最畅销专辑之一；2017年专辑《Every Country's Sun》空降英国金榜第6名；最近的一张是2021年的《As the Love Continues》，在商业和评论界都取得了成功，在英国官方专辑排行榜上排名第一，获得水星奖提名和苏格兰年度专辑奖。

Mogwai不仅发布了诸多经典专辑，还广泛涉猎多部影视作品配乐合作，包括BBC纪录片《Atomic: Living in Dread and Promise》 、齐达内纪录片《Zidane:A 21st Century portait》 、法国电视剧集《Les Revenants》 、亚马逊Prime剧集《ZeroZeroZero》，Apple TV+剧集系列《Black Bird》等。

今年早些时候，Blazing Griffin、Adler Entertainment、Rock Action Records和Screen Scotland共同宣布已完成《Mogwai：如果星星有声音》的后期制作，这是关于该乐队的第一部纪录片，由长期合作者Antony Crook执导。这部纪录片于2024年3月在德克萨斯州奥斯汀的西南偏南（SXSW）举行了世界首映式，目前正在世界各地的电影节上放映。

Mogwai will play Shanghai - Bandai Namco on March 18 and Beijing - Full Off on March 20. 2025. This legendary band have established themselves as one of the most important and influential artists of the past quarter century. In addition to the critical and commercial success of their many studio albums, Mogwai's music has appeared in dozens of iconic films, and the band have scored several high-profile scores. Mogwai are the rare band who seamlessly infuse the spirit and integrity of punk rock into the patient, cinematic bombast that can unquestionably be called their own.Mogwai will play songs out of their widely filled back catalogue and present their new album.

More than seven years after their sold out concerts in Shanghai and Beijing, New Noise couldn’t be more proud to bring Mogwai back to China for what can be expected as one of the most biggest, epic and mesmerising shows of 2025!

Mogwai formed in 1995 in Glasgow. The band consists of Stuart Braithwaite (guitar, vocals), Barry Burns (guitar, piano, synthesizer, vocals), Dominic Aitchison (bass guitar) and Martin Bulloch (drums). Since 1997, the band have released ten studio albums, with their most recent, 2021’s As The Love Continues, being a commercial and critical success, reaching number 1 on the Official UK Album Charts, amassing a Mercury Prize nomination and winning the Scottish Album of the Year award.

The band have also contributed to and written scores for projects with Amazon Prime and Apple TV+. Earlier this year, it was announced that Blazing Griffin, Adler Entertainment, Rock Action Records and Screen Scotland had completed post-production of Mogwai: If The Stars Had A Sound, a first documentary about the band, directed by longtime collaborator Antony Crook. The documentary had its World Premiere at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, in March 2024 and is currently being shown at film festivals across the world.

ABOUT NEW ALBUM:

On January 25，Mogwai will release their 11th studio album,The Bad Fire.The arrival of a new Mogwai album is cause for great celebration. The album’s title, The Bad Fire, is a working-class Glaswegian term for Hell. It reflects the difficult time that members of the band were going through. New to the studio was American producer John Congleton, known for his work with Explosions In The Sky, Sigur Rós, John Grant and pretty much everyone in between. Congleton’s work can be heard on the album’s three singles. The album opener “God Gets You Back” sounds like Daft Punk being hunted by My Bloody Valentine, while “Fanzine Made Of Flesh” sounds like a victory parade for a baby yeti; and “Lion Rumpus” does actually sound like a lion rumpus. The music of Mogwai is a difficult thing to describe, but an easy thing to experience. At punishing volume, it can annihilate your body, leaving you as little more than a head which should by rights fall helplessly to the ground. Yet the music contains an updraft, a sense of beauty encased in the onslaught. This holds you up, suspended and empowered, reminding you that paradise is your birthright. This is especially true of The Bad Fire. It may have been created in dark conditions, but all that is transcended by the act of four musicians working together here, now, in the moment – the only place where Mogwai exist.
