Founded by The Systems Engineering Society of China in 1992, Journal of Systems Science and Systems Engineering (JSSSE) aims to foster new thinking and research to help decision-makers understand the mechanisms and complexity of economic, engineering, management, sociology and technological systems, and to learn new developments in theory and practice that could help to improve the performance of systems. JSSSE publishes papers that are addressed to theories, methodologies and applications relating to systems science and systems engineering. The recent (2023) impact factor of the journal is 1.7.
The series of JSSSE Workshops are seeking high-quality papers that are relevant to a specific topic and to be published in the journal in a quick manner. Different from traditional ways of submitting a manuscript to a journal, authors have the opportunity to present their manuscripts and interact directly with experts at the Workshop. Review reports on manuscripts will be generated at the Workshop and the entire review cycle is expected to be reduced to six months. We welcome submissions that seek to be published within a short publication cycle.
The first JSSSE Workshop, entitled AI Enabled Smart Operations and Supply Chain Management,is expected to be held by the end of 2024. As supply chain becomes increasingly complex and globalized nowadays, this Workshop focuses on the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities in leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to revolutionize the supply chain industry. It is important to explore the integration of AI technologies for it could offer unprecedented potential for enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, improving resilience, fostering sustainable operations, etc.
