北京大学名誉教授、联合国教科文组织亲善大使、欧洲知名国际问题专家和社会活动家姜·埃利亚·瓦洛里（Giancarlo Elia Valori）将于2024年12月18日访问北京大学并做“全球地缘政治中的金砖国家及中欧关系”讲座。
Mr. Giancarlo Elia Valori, Honorary Professor at Peking University，UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador and well-known European expert on international affairs , will visit Peking University on December 18, 2024 and deliver a lecture on BRICS and China-EU Relations in Global Geopolitics.
今年是北京大学国际关系学院前身国际政治系成立60周年，同时也是国际关系学院大楼落成20周年。“闲云潭影日悠悠，物换星移几度秋”，60年来，北大国关走过风云际会的时代，与国家和世界同呼吸，共命运；瓦洛里楼在内的国际关系学院大楼也历经20载寒来暑往，见证了一代代北大国关师生的成长，承载了无数厚重的回忆。尽管岁月流逝，时光不能永远停留，但对于每个“爱国关天下”的国关人来说，这里是思想轰鸣的学术圣殿，是满载欢笑与回忆的青春见证，更是不变的精神故园，过去如是，未来依然。
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Department of International Politics, the predecessor of the School of International Studies of Peking University, and the 20th anniversary of the completion of the School of International Studies building. Over the past 60 years, School of International Studies has navigated through times of great change, sharing the destiny of both the country and the world. Over the last two decades, the School’s buildings, including the Valori Building, have witnessed the growth of generations of faculty and students, preserving countless profound memories. Though time passes and moments cannot be frozen, for every member of the School of International Studies who embraces the motto of “Love for the Nation and Care for the World,” this place remains an academic sanctuary where ideas reverberate, a testament to youthful laughter and memories, and an enduring spiritual home. This was true in the past and will remain so in the future.
2000年，瓦洛里先生在北京大学设立了以其母亲命名的基金。在基金支持下，国际关系学院瓦洛里楼正式落成。瓦洛里楼搭建起国关师生办公办学、承办活动、相聚闲谈、交友互动的温馨平台，彰显着瓦洛里先生的卓越贡献，象征着他与学院的宝贵友谊，意义非凡。2023年11月，瓦洛里先生时隔多年再度来访，特地回到了国际关系学院和以他名字命名的瓦洛里楼，并与国际关系学院师生合影留念。
In 2000, Mr. Valori established a foundation named after his mother at Peking University. With the support of the fund, the Valori Building of the School of International Studies was officially completed. The Valori Building has built a warm platform for professors and students of the School of International Studies to teach and study, host activities, gather for conversations, and foster friendships. It demonstrates Mr. Valori's exceptional contributions and symbolizes his precious friendship with the school, carrying profound significance. In November 2023, Mr. Valori returned to visit the School of International Studies again after many years. During his visit, he made a special trip to the School of International Studies and the Valori Building named in his honor, taking memorable photos with professors and students of the School of International Studies.

2023年11月10日，瓦洛里先生凭借长期以来积极促进北大及国际关系学院国际化教学和国际交流事业发展和中意友好事业作出的重要贡献，被授予北京大学名誉教授的荣誉称号。
On November 10th, 2023, Mr. Valori was awarded the title of Honorary Professorship of Peking University in recognition of his long-term constructive contributions to advancing the internationalization of education and international exchanges at Peking University and the School of International Studies of Peking University, as well as his dedication to fostering China-Italy friendship.
