上海美国商会会长郑艺感谢江苏省外办、知识产权局及苏州市相关部门与上海美商会共同组织此次会议，并表示知识产权保护是美资企业高度关注的议题。尽管中国在过去一年取得了积极进展，会员企业仍面临诉讼难度等挑战。他期待上海美商会与江苏省深化合作，通过共同努力为美资企业提供更强有力的知识产权保护，进一步增强这些企业在中国市场的投资信心。
省知识产权局相关负责领导介绍了省知识产权保护相关工作和外资企业知识产权保护政策，同时表示省、市知识产权局将持续倾听企业意见，为企业提供及时、高效和专业的服务。江苏省及苏州市知识产权局相关部门负责人还对企业提出的问题逐一回答，并就知识产权事务展开了深入讨论交流。随后，企业代表们参观了苏州市知识产权保护中心。
AmCham Shanghai Holds Intellectual Property Protection Roundtable in JiangsuOn October 24, AmCham Shanghai organized a roundtable on
intellectual property protection for MNCs with the Jiangsu Provincial Foreign
Affairs Office and the Jiangsu Provincial Intellectual Property Office. Representatives
from eight member companies joined the roundtable. Mr. Liu Jiandong, Deputy
Director General of the Jiangsu Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, Mr. Zhao Qi,
Deputy Director General of the Jiangsu Provincial Intellectual Property Office,
heads of relevant departments in Suzhou, and Juli Schwartz, Intellectual
Property Attaché at the US Consulate General Shanghai, participated in the
meeting.AmCham Shanghai President Eric Zheng thanked the Jiangsu
Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, the Intellectual Property Office, and Suzhou
municipal departments for jointly organizing the meeting, highlighting that intellectual
property protection is a key concern for American companies in China. In his
remarks, Eric outlined that while significant progress has been made in the
past year, member companies still face challenges related to litigation. He also expressed interest in deepening
cooperation between AmCham Shanghai and Jiangsu Province to strengthen
intellectual property protection and enhance investor confidence in the Chinese
market.The Provincial Intellectual Property Office provided
an overview of provincial efforts regarding intellectual property protection
and policies for foreign enterprises, affirming that both provincial and
municipal offices will continue to seek feedback from the foreign business
community to provide timely and professional services. Officials from relevant
departments also addressed specific inquiries from enterprises and engaged in
thorough discussions on intellectual property matters, before the delegation
had a tour of the Suzhou Intellectual Property Protection Center.![]()
