With a variety of activities as part of the WeCare Campaign Weeks, which took place for the third year in a row, employees once again demonstrated what can be achieved with teamwork. With the WeCare initiative, which was launched in 2022, the family-owned company is bundling local activities and projects in the areas of humanitarian and social commitment as well as species, nature and environmental protection, some of which have existed there for decades. This year's campaign weeks, which were organised at the Brucklacher Group's locations worldwide, once again far exceeded expectations.

In 34 countries, 1,910 participating employees contributed more than 3,400 voluntary hours to the good cause during the two-week WeCare Campaign Weeks. For example, 3.3 tonnes of donations in kind were collected worldwide, 88 litres of blood were donated, 460 m² of flowering areas were created and 4,500 trees were planted. Other projects from the successful initiative included the construction of 428 nesting boxes and feeders for birds and small wild animals, insect hotels, bat roosts and twelve bee boxes. In addition, 1.5 tonnes of CO2 were saved by travelling to work without a car and by eating meat-free meals. In addition, many helping hands removed 6.1 tonnes of waste from the environment and waterwaysIn total, we succeeded in generating donations and financial contributions of around € 100,000, which were used to support local and national organisations and projects. As a result, around 50 social and charitable organisations received donations.

The campaign enhances green coverage by organizing employees to plant grass in public areas, which not only protect the environment, but also improves air quality and promotes ecological balance. Through the “We Care” campaign, Leitz China hopes that more people will realize the impact of their personal choices on the environment and work together to create a healthier and more sustainable future.
