为培养西外学子英语学习兴趣，提高英语文化素养，由卓越创新学院主办、英文学院英语演讲协会承办的英语角活动于每周三下午两点至四点、四点至六点轮流交替进行，举办地点依次变化，充分结合国际国内当下时事热点就一些话题进行自由讨论。
英语角从2021年成立以来，经历了疫情防控、建校70年校庆等等，风风雨雨，与同学们共同成长，发展至今，参与人数已超300余人，讨论话题从“Food Safety”、”Social Media”、“The Pay-to-Watch Function of Tiktok”等社会热点到“Communication is Wonderful”、“School Bullying”、“Cyber Love”等与自身生活息息相关的话题；从“China: A Global View”等国家视野到“Your Own ‘Big Story’”、“Employment VS. Entrepreneurship”等个人见解；从“Fame or Shame” “Tell Us Whether You Think That Time You Enjoy Wasting is Not Wasted”、 “Effort Principle”等哲学思考到 “Apologizing”、“Gender Issues in Science”、“MBTI”等趣闻巧思……英语角在为西外学子提供交流平台的同时，也不断锻炼着 “口语搭子”们的思考与沟通，辩证与合作的能力。
其中，来自南非的外教Tanya 和Mark 的参与让我们的英语角活动更加富有乐趣，同学们从Tanya和Mark身上学到了不同的思考方式，大家也更加的其乐融融；在英语角第32期以“The Pay-to-Watch Function of Tiktok”为主题的活动中，西安外国语大学校长吴耀武先生也加入到了这次活动中，大家一起畅谈了对该话题的看法与见解，好不热闹。
每一次的英语角活动，韩林烨老师都会认真负责地为同学们发表的观点给予积极的反馈，不仅帮助每位同学提升了英语口语表达能力，也加强了他们批判性思维的塑造。
英语角活动为西外学子营造了一个健康向上、开放包容的学习氛围和讨论环境，利于爱好英语口语交流的同学们充分施展其才华，并在多种多样的趣味活动中增进对彼此的了解，交到新朋友。
西安外国语大学英语角已经陪伴英语爱好者走过一年又一年的春夏秋冬。由教务处、卓越创新学院主办，英文学院英语演讲协会承办的“英语角”活动将于10月9日开始每周三下午2-4点，4-6点交替开展。

Intro: Chinese National Day is celebrated on October 1st every year to commemorate the founding of People’s Republic of China. On that day, lots of large-scaled activities are held nationwide. The 7-day holiday from Oct. 1st to 7th is called 'Golden Week', during which a large number of Chinese people go traveling around the country.
