为治疗多次摩托车事故导致的膝盖损伤，Paul 做过两次众筹：“现在韧带全没了，骨头磨骨头。难以想象的疼。我妈还遗传给我骨质疏松……”
2022 年 6 月 18 日，Paul 的忠实乐迷和相关图书作者 Stjepan Juras 透露他 7 月 5 日入院，用两天时间做三场手术，之后用两到三周康复，预计 10 月就会很有改善，年底可以恢复行走。
组织众筹的伦敦的 Cart & Horses 俱乐部老板 Kastro Pergjoni 随后发文：“我非常兴奋地宣布，IRON MAIDEN 已欣然同意支付 Paul Di'Anno 的手术的剩余费用。IRON MAIDEN 不仅是这个星球上最好的乐队，而且他们心地善良，得到了令人惊叹的团队的支持。由于这个好消息，我将于 2022 年 6 月 21 日结束募款活动。”

Paul 和几名克罗地亚音乐人组建的重金属乐队 WARHORSE（战马）于 7 月发表了首张同名专辑《战马》，收录 9 首原创曲目和 2 首翻唱：DEPECHE MODE的“Precious”和 THE CHAMPS 的“Tequila”。

2014 年底，Bruce 被诊断患舌部肿瘤，2015 年手术后痊愈。Paul 在德国祝他彻底康复："我希望所有人祝 Bruce Dickinson 健康快乐。他是个好人、好歌手，我祝他万事如意，彻底康复。我自己重病过两次，所以……Bruce，快点好。"
2019 年，Paul 说 IRON MAIDEN 停下来的那一天将会是他一生中最伤感的一天：“全世界的乐迷们和我一样，通过聆听 MAIDEN 的歌曲（无论是由我自己还是由 MAIDEN 完成）能获得多少欢乐？我可以证明这一点。他们绝对很棒，带来了很多快乐，而我不想看到那一刻。这可能会在某个阶段发生，但是我希望还能有很多年。”
而现在，在庆幸他们终于冰释前嫌的同时不免伤感，再也没有机会听到他和乐队同台演绎早期经典了……
