Faculty and Engineer Positions in AI and Computational Biology

The Institute of Systems and Physical Biology (ISPB) seeks to fill multiple tenure-track or tenured Faculty and Engineer positions beginning January 1, 2025 or later. Applications will be accepted from candidates whose research interests lie in any area of modern computational biology and computational medicine with a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence and machine learning. Appointments will be made at a rank (Senior Principal Investigator, Principal Investigator, or Engineer) commensurate with the appointee’s experience. Appointees will be expected to carry out vigorous programs of original research, to advise research students, to teach a broad range of graduate courses, and to participate in governance at Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (SZBL). Selection will be based on each candidate’s record of previous accomplishments relevant to these responsibilities, their potential for outstanding future contributions, and their potential to actively advance the SZBL’s missions in research and teaching Appointees must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. or equivalent degree by the date of appointment. Evaluation of applications will begin October 1, 2024 and will continue until the positions are filled.
