- Background -
1949年，新中国黎明前夜，江姐因叛徒甫志高出卖被捕。面对敌人的严刑拷打，江姐誓死守护共产党秘密。在渣滓洞被囚期间，她和同志们等到了新中国成立的消息，便在艰苦条件下制作了一面五星红旗，象征革命者对自由和胜利的渴望，也象征全国人民对中国共产党的信任和拥护。尽管江姐牺牲了，但革命火焰永存，终会照耀中国。
In 1949, on the eve of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Jiang Jie was arrested due to the betrayal of the traitor Fu Zhigao. Enduring brutal torture at the hands of the enemy, Jiang Jie chose death over surrender, determined to protect the secrets of the Communist Party of China. While imprisoned in the Cinder Cave, she and her fellow prisoners awaited news of the founding of PRC. Despite the harsh conditions, they managed to create a Five-Star Red Flag, symbolizing the revolutionaries’ yearning for freedom and victory, as well as the trust and support of the entire nation for the CPC. Though Jiang Jie ultimately sacrificed her life, the revolutionary spirit she embodied would never be extinguished, and it would eventually light the path to a new China.
