信息摘要
WMO is seeking a highly motivated graduate student who wishes to gain professional experience working with Gender Equality in Geneva. This internship is available for a duration of six months, extending to a maximum of twelve months, and is to commence in November 2024.
The internship is paid and full-time. Interns are expected to work five days per week under the supervision of the WMO Gender Focal Point Coordinator / Knowledge and Information Management Officer within the Governance Service (GS) Department.
The aim of the internship is to offer practical professional Gender Equality experience and provide the opportunity to work in a multicultural, intergovernmental organization.
基本要求
Education
At least a bachelor's degree in gender studies, communications, international development, social sciences, public administration, or other relevant fields is required.
Experience
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience for participation in the WMO Internship programme. Your training, education, advance course work or skills should benefit the WMO during your internship.
The following will be an asset:
[1]Knowledge of UN Gender Equality practices and frameworks
[2]Proficiency in Microsoft 365: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with SharePoint would be an advantage.
Other requirements
[1]Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and its specialized agencies such as WMO
[2]Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views
工作语言
Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written) is essential. Knowledge of the other official languages of WMO would be an advantage.
