Equine Physiotherapist Trainee

职位描述：
You will:
Demonstrate a commitment to self-study in all fields necessary to develop the knowledge and skills required to achieve the designated therapeutic qualification. Attend all trainings scheduled during the diploma course. Respond to all formal communications from the HKJC and enrolled institute promptly, accurately and efficiently. Diligently attend any seminars, practicals and other training opportunities arranged by the club and take all reasonable steps necessary to pass examinations. The club will sponsor the appointees for the course fee.
Provide high-level professional support to the Rehabilitation Unit in assisting with the delivery of rehabilitation services including but not limited to manual therapy, laser therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, electrotherapies, dry/aqua treadmill, chilled saltwater spa therapy and therapeutic exercise.
Actively contribute to improvement in VCS Department through:
· Self-study to remain current in professional standards and thereby acquire knowledge to recommend new ideas and operational practices;
· Active participation in non-judgemental discussion of cases between colleagues to encourage positive growth in efficacy;
· Correct and effective use of all relevant facilities within the Department across both Sha Tin and CRC and provide due diligence in the care of all facilities.
Promptly update any findings relating to the assessment of horses into the computerised Veterinary Management Information System (VMIS) and ensure that all related records are accurately maintained in the database.
Maintain effective communication with trainers, assistant trainers, stable staff and all other relevant individuals to maximise compliance and effective implementation of therapeutic treatments.
Maintain safe work practices at all times and take responsibility for the safety of support staff with whom he/ she is directly involved during routine rehabilitation operations.
· Remaining current with all safety protocols published by the DVCS and HKJC;
· Maintaining a proactive approach to implementation of safety practices.
Diligently follow all standard operating procedures in relation to performing professional duties.
Undertake any other duties assigned by ERM/ HVCS
You should have:
Extensive work experience and/or achievement of a range of professional qualifications in equine industries
A valid driving licence
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and communication skills
Self-discipline and ability to work under own initiative
Able to accepts feedback without becoming defensive and learn from mistakes
Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent is preferred)
Fexibility in Travel regularly between CRC and HK
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
