Young people spend a lot of time on the Internet. However, they are sometimes unable to recognize false information on the Internet, judge the reliability of online information sources, or tell real news stories from fake ones.
As is shown in the passage, many young people tend to receive and believe what they get from the media and then react to it directly, while unable to recognize false information on the Internet and tell real news stories from fake ones.
The reasons for this phenomenon are the convenient access to the Internet and its rich resources. However, we should not trust the information on the Internet easily for the following two reasons. For one thing, online information, which is just to impress and catch attention, could be fictitious, so it is rather difficult to distinguish the useful and reliable information from the fake. Thus it is hard to ensure the correctness of the answer. For another, reports online could be one-sided. That is to say, they are providing incomplete information and seeing things from one angle, so people will have a superficial knowledge of some questions and may form an indiscreet attitude.
In my opinion, we can easily find that only use the information on the Internet wisely, can we gain access to information more efficiently, accurately and thoroughly.
