Our ceramic industry is currently facing one of its toughest challenges. Despite our hopes for improvement after the pandemic, the situation has only worsened. Even with China reopening to the world which was supposed to be the biggest economic event in the past 50 years its positive impact has not yet materialized. We initially thought that 2023 would mark the industry's low point, with subsequent recovery, but unfortunately, we continue to face further decline without a clear end in sight. Numerous ceramic brands and companies, as well as many home design and construction firms, have permanently closed.

The global economic situation has added to the difficulties, putting our industry in survival mode in China. Pricing battles have become the new standard and are unavoidable during these challenging times. While I understand the necessity for companies to lower their prices significantly to remain somewhat competitive, stay alive, and manage their inventory, the potential long-term impact on the industry is troubling. Although price reductions may provide immediate relief, it is incredibly difficult to restore prices to previous levels once they have been driven down. Companies that exploit this strategy will inevitably face consequences down the line.
作为一个拥有超过35年行业经验的人,我亲眼目睹过逆转降价的困难,我预见到价格下降后,采用这种方法的公司将价格恢复到以前水平时会产生的重大的长期后果。滥用这一策略的公司未来不得不为此付出代价。
As someone with over 35 years of industry experience, I have witnessed the difficulties associated with reversing price reductions, and I foresee significant long-term consequences for companies resorting to this approach to restore prices to their previous levels once prices are driven down. Companies that are abusing this strategy later will have to pay the consequences.
我知道现在是极具挑战性的时期,成本上升、失业、客流量微薄和不确定性,无可避免地导致销售下降。但在困难中我看到了希望。希望不仅仅是一个梦想,它是动力。它推动我们寻找更好的方法和解决方案:创新。
I know times are extremely challenging, with rising costs, job losses, meager customer traffic, and uncertainty that has inevitably led to lower sales. But amidst the difficulties I see hope. Hope is not just a dream; it is a motivator. It pushes us to find better ways, and solutions: TO INNOVATE.
正是这种创新精神引领我们走向变革。我们不需要等待经济反弹。我们可以创造我们自己的机会。我们有热情、才华、创造力,和为了不断创造差异化而作出改变的渴望。
It is this very spirit of innovation that will lead us to change. We don’t need to wait for the economy to rebound. We can create our very own opportunities. We have the enthusiasm, talent, creativity, and desire to make the necessary changes to keep making a difference.
