Rating Analyst - Financial Institutions Ratings

The Team:
The team is comprised of about 15 analysts that operate in a team-oriented and friendly atmosphere. Our collaborative environment fosters professional growth and encourages knowledge sharing among analysts across various regions and sectors. The role reports to the Analytical Manager while working very closely with the analysts who has extensive analytical insights to internal and external audience.
The Impact:
As a Rating Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing support to the senior analysts on credit ratings with influential opinion provided to the capital market. You will join the dynamic team of analyst focused on credit analysis for bank and non-banks financial institutions in China's mainland and Hong Kong SAR and in maintaining relationships with key market participants e.g. issuers, intermediaries, investors, regulators. Strong communication skills are required for this client facing role.

Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough analysis of data for rating determinations on financial institutions.
Assist in making credit rating recommendations and presenting findings to the rating committee.
Prepare press releases, company-specific reports, and industry commentaries under tight deadlines.
Monitor the operating performance of rated companies through public filings and client interactions.
Contribute to global analytical forums and publishing commentaries on the sector.
Co-operate closely with analysts across the region and globally as well as occasionally with analysts from other practices (e.g. Insurance, Sovereign, and Corporates, etc)
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree, CFA, or CPA is a plus.
Minimum of two years of experience in an analytical role.
Strong financial statement analysis and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to present effectively to senior management.
