The Great Wall of China is an ancient defense project which has consumed the longest construction time in the world. Since the the Western Zhou Dynasty (1046 BC - 771 BC), different sections of the great wall have been continuously constructed for more than 2500 years. Scattered in the vast land of northern and central China, the Great Wall stretches over 20,000 kilometers.


Almost all the dynasties that ruled the Central Plains of China has built the Great Wall. There are more than ten dynasties, the most common scenic site of the Great Wall belongs to the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty, about 600 years ago.



Destination: 

There are many stunning Great Walls in Beijing offering you the marvellous views, and this time we are taking you to The wild great wall ,it is an unrestored part of the Great Wall, with no crowds of tourists and no public shower or toilet. We will camp on the top of the Great Wall.  You will have to carry tents and your own bags for about 15 min to the camping site.

The temperature on the top: 3-5 degrees lower than at the foot of the mountain

Detailed Schedule: 

Day 1

6:26-12:29 Take train Shanghai Hongqiao-Beijing South

12:30 Meet at the exit of Beijing South station with our guide

13:00 Go to the local village

16:00 Arrive at the vilage and have a quick lunch

17:00 Start to hike to the camping site with tents

17:15 Arrive and set up the tents

19:00 See the sunset from the Great Wall

20:00 Chat with new friends and sleep. Good night!


Day 2

5:00-5:30 Watch sunrise

07:00 Keep hiking Great Wall or just relax

08:30 Finish the hike and go down with tents

11:00 Drive to the train station and have lunch nearby( Beijing Duck Lunch)

14:30 Transfer to Beijing South Railway Station. See you next time!

15:00-19:28 Train back to Shanghai


Price: 1099 RMB/person

Single Tent Supplement: 80 RMB/person


Including private bus, camping permit, 2 lunches, camping tent (2 people sharing one tent), hiking guide,  English speaking trip leader

Not including: train tickets to Beijing, dinner and breakfast (please bring your own food and snacks),  drinks, invoice
