新年伊始，Thomas Futoso领衔阔别已久的“Break the Wall”重回DADA北京。Thomas Futoso 是东亚 House / Minimal 舞曲场景的关键人物，也是首批将 Rominimal 风格引入中国的 DJ 之一。他在中国的十余年里活跃于各地的俱乐部场景，其中他所主导的“Break The Wall”最被众多Minimal 爱好者津津乐道，同时备受瞩目的台北 Studio 9 俱乐部也曾由他发起主理。
然而，这些头衔并不及他深邃的现场技巧来得炫目。随着声音分子在你耳边跳动，催眠般的极简节奏定能将你带入一场愉悦的冥想，让你的思绪归于空白，任由声音流淌过你的身体。当晚，本地英雄 Nigls 和 Kai.f 也将加入，为整个夜晚增添完整的一环。
For the first Break the Wall session of 2025, in Beijing on January 11, Thomas Futoso will take the lead at Dada Beijing. He is a key figure in the East Asian House / Minimal dance music scene and one of the first DJs to introduce the Rominimal genre to China. Thomas Futoso's years in the country have been very fruitful, with Break The Wall being one of his credits among Minimal enthusiasts and the highly anticipated Studio 9 club in Taipei also featuring Thomas. Still, these titles are not as glamorous as his profound live skills.
With molecules of sound bouncing in your ears, the hypnotic and minimalist rhythms are sure to transport you into a pleasant meditation where your mind is empty and you are left to let the sound flow through you. In support, local heroes Nigls and Kai.f will be joining to round up the full package for the night.

Thomas Futoso 是来自法兰克福的DJ、制作人，同时也是 Break The Wall 系列派对和台北 Studio 9 的运营者。法兰克福是除柏林外的另一 Techno 重镇，而这座城市强烈的工业底色也为这座城市带来了Schranz 这样的重型流派，但 Thomas Futoso 并不志在于此。他从当地传奇的 HR3 派对和罗马尼亚的Sunwaves 音乐节、Robert Johnson Offenbach am Main 等标志性俱乐部和 2000 年代末充满活力的德国俱乐部场景的影响。他同样热爱4/4节拍，但是相比当地粗放的Techno流行，他更热衷于微小的声音和极简的律动。在2005年的首次 Ibiza 之旅后，他和 Sebastian Werle 以及 Fummel 在曼海姆一起举办了无数 Models&Freaks 系列派对。
Thomas Futoso is a DJ and producer from Frankfurt, Germany, who also runs the Break The Wall party series and formerly Studio 9 in Taipei. Frankfurt is the other techno capital besides Berlin, and the city's strong industrial undertones have brought heavy techno genres like Schranz to the city, but Thomas Futoso doesn't aspire to that. He was inspired by the legendary HR3 parties in the area and the Sunwaves festival in Romania, then influenced by iconic clubs like Robert Johnson Offenbach am Main and the vibrant German club scene of the late 2000s. He shares a love of 4/4 beats but is more interested in tiny sounds and minimal rhythms than the brash techno-pop of the region. After his first trip to Ibiza in 2005, he organized numerous Models&Freaks party series in Mannheim with Sebastian Werle and Fummel.

Since taking up residence in Shanghai in 2014, Thomas Futoso has become an indispensable part of the minimal/micro scene in China, thanks to his viscous sonic textures: deep drums form a constant loop on the dancefloor, and relaxing, hypnotic atmospheres are the key to getting dancers to let down their guard and let their bodies go, he earned him recognition for himself and the music he represents through his Break The Wall series.
初到上海时，Thomas 创立了厂牌 micro/wave，将日本 Techno 老将 Fumiya Tanaka, Rominimal 的弄潮儿 Dan Andrei, 法兰克福本地力量 Einzelkind 等音乐人邀请到中国，而2017年，他与 Edison Chen 共同创立了 Break The Wall ——来自一部讲述中国地下电子音乐历史的同名纪录片，它是第一部有关中国地下音乐的历史和现状的纪录片。在创立者们看来，通过体验音乐和创造文化知识，将思想开放的人聚集在一起，推广高质量的活动和国际顶级 DJ，这便是 Break The Wall 的意义。
After arriving in Shanghai, Thomas founded the event label micro/wave, which brought Japanese techno veteran Fumiya Tanaka, Rominimal trendsetter Dan Andrei, and local Frankfurt powerhouse Einzelkind to China. Thomas created Break The Wall with Edison Chen - based on a documentary of the same name about the history of underground electronic music in China, it is the first documentary about the history and current state of underground music in China. For the founders of Break The Wall, it was about bringing open-minded people together to promote quality events and top international DJs through music experience and cultural knowledge.

In the same year that Break The Wall was founded, Thomas Futoso completed his first tour of China, and he hasn't slowed down since then. In 2019, he founded the record label YAJI with his friend Ben Balance 2019 and released music by Spain's Alexis Cabrera, as a monumental first release for the label.
In 2020, Thomas Futoso decided to explore the local club scene in Taiwan, so he moved there and began organizing and curating Break The Wall's local events with his wife Celine, and close friend Kiko. He attributes the key to Break The Wall's local success to three factors: the fresh and edgy musical tone of the brand, the welcoming environment of the events, and the strong connection to the community.

When Break The Wall's community was strong enough, Thomas and the other partners found a suitable space in Taipei's Westgate and decisively transformed Break The Wall's fluid form into the Studio 9 Club. In addition to a heavy dose of ro-minimal music, Studio 9 attempted to find a good balance between various genres, and this effort gained them the appreciation of the community. To this day, Studio 9 has undoubtedly become one of Taipei's staple clubs.

Kai.F，北京曾经的地下电子乐地标 ECHO INC. 唱片店的老板、ByeByeDisco 厂牌驻场 ，是当下本土场景中为数不多的真正的唱片骑师。秉持 selector 信条，Kai.F的音乐收集建立在庞杂的 digging 谱系之上，植根于对唱片历史和厂牌的丰厚知识与理解，以刁钻的口味精细整理收藏，在 House , Techno 领域，对各延展风格流派兼收并蓄，并努力打破边界。多年的经验积累，令Kai.F深谙舞池流动，他敏锐地捕捉当下舞池的情绪及能量，丢出恰如其分最惊喜的一曲！同时，身为活动组织者，Kai.F与友人共同运营着 Elastic People ， Forma 等活动品牌，积极投身于本土场景建设及国际交流，以极具前瞻性的视野，引入如Magda, Sepp, Andrey Pushkarev 等优秀艺术家来华演出交流。
Kai.f has spent much of his time doing what a lot of music lovers surely envy him for: digging through crates and crates of vinyl records. Founder of ECHO INC. - one of the very few vinyl stores managing to sell dance music records in a country where few people cherish vinyl let alone play it in clubs, Kai.f is as singular a figure in China’s dance music scene as he is important to dance music vinyl records in China. As a DJ, Kai.f feels comfortable breaking genre boundaries and incorporates Techno, House and Minimal into his sets as eclectic as the many records he has on sale.

Nigls，出生于澳门的葡萄牙音乐人，迄今已有10余年电子音乐场景经验。2012年他移居北京，从那时起就成为北京地下电子音乐的中心力量。他的音乐旅程发迹于北京京地下电子音乐重要根据地 Lantern Club灯笼俱乐部的邀约，在这里找到了属于自己的音乐发展之路，通过探索不同电子音乐领域，带领着众多电子音乐爱好者创造了无数美好的夜晚。
时至今日，Nigls仍活跃在电子音乐底下舞台及锐舞派对，狂热的舞池经历让他能够很好的理电子音乐美学，并将其融入于自己的DJ set。他喜欢将不同的音乐风格融合并延伸，让这些音符迸发碰撞出无限可能性。拥有强大的House和Techno基础， Nigls喜欢探索宏大的音景和它们的变体：Dub, Minimal, Acid, Electro, Breakbeat。

Originating from Macau, Portuguese artist Nigls has been blending tracks for over a decade. Relocating to Beijing in 2012, he established himself as a local figure in the underground electronic music scene. By becoming a mainstay in the line-ups of the acclaimed underground institution - Lantern Club, he found the space to go deeper in refining his taste by exploring diverse electronic music territories and implementing it on the dancefloor.
Nigls likes a playful blend of styles and approaches the mix with this perception, stretching between genres in longer sets, while time is key to creating a journey with diverse landscapes. As an avid dancefloor frontliner, it allowed him to have a wide understanding of its aesthetics, interiorizing those experiences to reflect them on his own DJ sets. With strong House and Techno foundations, Nigls likes to explore vast soundscapes and their variants: Deep, Dub, Minimal, Acid, Electro, Breakbeat.
In 2018 he founded the FORMA series. The event label focuses on a more minimalist edge of House and Techno music while exploring the symbiosis between sound and art.
