什么样的住宅设计能够很好地契合当地地区独特的生活方式与习惯是我们常常思考与探讨的问题。而对于澳洲人来说,融合自然、打造绿色建筑与活力社区一直是澳洲现代住宅设计的追求风向与重要元素。

One of the key questions we often consider and discuss is what kind of residential design can best align with the unique lifestyle and habits of a specific region? For Australia, the integration of nature, the creation of sustainable buildings, and the development of vibrant communities have always been important elements in modern residential design.

Larool Crescent位于Castle Hill的繁荣区域,区域向Castle Hill地铁站Castle 购物中心方向逐步增密。周围环境宁静宜人,绿树成荫的街道,小型公园和独栋住宅点缀其中,营造出浓厚的自然景观和低密度的生活氛围。该地块具备得天独厚的交通优势,步行可达Castle Hill地铁站及连接悉尼CBD、北悉尼、Chatswood和Parramatta的公交车站。此外,附近的购物中心和Norwest商业园区也为居民提供了便捷的购物和工作选择。

Located in the thriving precinct of Castle Hill, where the density gradually increases towards the Castle Hill Metro Station and Castle Towers Shopping Centre. The surrounding environment is characterized by tree-lined streets, local streets, pocket parks, and single dwellings, creating a strong natural landscape and a low-density residential atmosphere. The property benefits from excellent transportation connections, with Castle Hill Metro Station just a short walk away, as well as bus stops providing direct access to Sydney CBD, North Sydney, Chatswood, and Parramatta. Additionally, the nearby Castle Towers Shopping Centre and Norwest Business Park offer convenient shopping and work options for residents.

住宅位于山脊与排水线之间,地势起伏显著,设计需在低密度区域与未来高密度区域之间实现平滑过渡,促进社区转型并增强活力。建筑紧密融合周围自然景观,既响应地形变化,又为居民提供和谐共生的生活空间。以当地轻松随意的生活态度为灵感,设计注重空间的开放与舒适,鼓励居民享受自然与生活的每一刻。正如澳洲人热情友好的处世方式,不仅提供宽敞的家庭空间,也营造出一个无压力、充满归属感的家园。

The residence is located between a ridge line and a drainage line resulting in significant level change. The design aims to create a smooth transition between low-density and future high-density areas, fostering community transformation and enhancing vitality. The architecture integrates closely with the surrounding natural landscape, responding to the terrain while providing residents with a harmonious living space. Inspired by the laid-back and easygoing lifestyle of the local community, the design emphasizes openness and comfort, encouraging residents to enjoy every moment of nature and life. Like the warm and friendly approach of Australians, the design not only offers spacious family areas but also creates a stress-free, welcoming home filled with a sense of belonging.

独特的地形是Larool Crescent设计中的一个重要考量因素。四栋多户住宅楼和六栋联排别墅围绕着一个大型的中央开放式空间排列,建筑逐渐沿着一系列台阶式层次向下延展,形成了一个富有动感的视觉效果。建筑体量的设计层次分明,整体视觉上被巧妙地分割成至少两个独立的部分。尤其沿着Carramarr路的陡坡,使建筑自然地呈现阶梯式布局。建筑之间精心设置的景观连接,不仅将中央空间与周边街道无缝衔接,还为居民创造了优美的观景环境和便捷的通行路径。
The unique topography played a crucial role in the design of Larool Crescent. Four multi dwelling buildings and six townhouses are grouped around a large central open space, creating a visually dynamic effect with a series of tiered levels that gradually descend. The massing of the buildings is well articulated and visually broken up into at least two building elements. The sloping terrain and the significant fall particularly along Carramarr Road enables stepping of the built form. The carefully planned landscape connections between the buildings not only seamlessly link the central space with the surrounding streets but also create a beautiful environment for residents to enjoy.

三层高的联排别墅布置在北侧,以最大化太阳光照射到建筑本身和中央开放空间,确保了充足的自然光照。东侧建筑通过凹槽设计形成两个独立的部分,增加了建筑结构的趣味性。南侧则通过逐级下降的平面布局增强了视觉上的层次感,同时解决了地块的高差问题。建筑外立面整体创造出层次丰富、错落有致的视觉效果,同时突出的街角设计增强了建筑的辨识度与导航指引,提升了居民的整体生活体验。

The 3-storey townhouses have been strategically placed to the north to maximise solar access into the site and central open space, ensuring ample natural light. Building east is expressed as 2 separate building elements through a significant recess, adding a sense of depth and visual interest. In the south the building and the townhouses are articulated as a stepping form in plan, enhancing the visual layering while addressing the site's elevation differences. The building façades are creating a rich and varied visual effect. The prominent corner design further enhances the building's recognizability and serves as a navigational marker, enriching the overall living experience for residents.

中心区域宽敞的景观公共开放空间也是开发项目的核心之一,提供了多样化的社交互动、独立沉思和阅读空间区域,现有树冠与新植树木共同营造出一片绿意盎然的阴凉天地,深切契合了澳洲人对自然、社区和家庭生活的热爱。此外,居民还能享受到大面积的私人开放空间,如地面花园和大型屋顶露台,这些空间不仅提升了居住舒适度,也为家庭聚会和休闲活动提供了理想场所。

The generous landscaped communal open space in the centre of the site forms the heart of the development, offering a variety of quality social interaction spaces and singular, reflective or reading spaces. The existing tree canopy combined with new proposed trees will provide shade and contribute to the leafy character of the area that resonates with the Australian love for nature, community, and family life. Additionally, most residents can enjoy expansive private outdoor areas, such as ground-level gardens and large rooftop terraces, which not only improve living comfort but also provide ideal spaces for family gatherings and recreational activities.

中央开放空间的层次景观设计不仅引导人们穿梭于住宅之间,还将自然美景引入室内,增强了室内外的无缝连接。私人开放空间(如后院和侧院)的规划和管理同样关键,这些空间不仅服务于日常生活,也是社区交流和休闲的重要场所,确保了空间的私密性和流动性,形成了一个宽敞而有凝聚力的生活环境。
The tiered landscape design of the communal open space not only guides movement between the residences but also brings natural beauty into the interior, enhancing the seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The planning and management of private outdoor spaces, such as backyards and side gardens, are equally important. These spaces not only support daily living but also serve as key areas for community interaction and relaxation. They ensure both privacy and connectivity, creating a spacious and cohesive living environment.
