After the Storm: Competing in China's New Automotive Landscape
AmCham Shanghai's Automotive Committee is excited to present our annual 2024 Automotive Conference - After the Storm: Competing in China's New Automotive Landscape on Tuesday, September 10 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm in the Westin Bund Center Shanghai.
China has solidified its position as the world's leading car exporter with sales continuing to experience modest growth in the first half of 2024, largely attributable to the production of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). But geopolitical tensions, weak domestic consumption and increasing industrial competition continue to pose challenges for the automotive industry, resulting in the current tariffs on China-made EV imports imposed by both the US and the European Union.
Against this backdrop, how can legacy automakers address these challenges to seek market growth and other emerging opportunities in the new EV era? Join us at this all-day event where industry leaders, analysts and experts will review key trends in the automotive industry and engage in discussions on the following topics:
The State of China’s Auto Industry in 2024
Navigating the Challenges in the Changing Market (Pricing, Shifting Preferences, Lack of Growth, Technology Cycle Compression)
Chinese EV Subsidies & Tariffs: what next?
The Current Chinese Economic Landscape
The Shifting Footprint of the Automotive Industry Supply Chain
Competing in the Intelligent Connected Vehicles (ICV) Era
