Location of
Self-service Kiosks
In consideration of the large population in the south district and nearby areas and to enhance the level of convenience of the public, on 1 November 2024, the Public Security Police Force will install a self-service kiosk at the St. Lourenço Activity Centre, which is located on the 4th Floor of the St. Lourenço Municipal Market Complex. The Centre opens daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. except the Chinese New Year holidays. Including the original ones, there will be altogether 16 service locations (13 of them operate 24 hours a day) for people at different districts to conduct self-services related to the immigration affairs easily and flexibly without the constraints of public holidays and office hours.

Since the launch of the self-service kiosks of the Public Security Police Force in 2018, the cumulative usage exceeded 150,000, which means the average annual usage is over 20,000. From January to September this year, the usage of the kiosks reached 17,000. There has been an increase in the number of non-resident workers using the kiosks for completing the renewal confirmation procedure. Comparing with the same period of 2023, a five-fold increase of about 4,000 was recorded. The Public Security Police Force will continue to review and optimize the operation of all the self-services. In addition, to enhance administrative efficiency and public convenience, the Force will strive to develop more self-service items and increase the number of self-service kiosk locations.
