Job Description
The Equity Derivatives team is looking to hire a junior trader for corporate trading and quantitative investment strategies in Hong Kong. The role is open to analysts and associates. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in a trading desk and will be able to demonstrate knowledge of QIS.
Responsibilities
The junior trader will support risk management and market-making for corporate trading and quantitative investment strategies
Generate trade ideas and help produce desk metrics for senior management
Pricing, executing and hedging activities
Work with the team to design reconciliation tool and also projects to automate workflows
Growing the existing platform of relationships and identifying new client onboarding or extension opportunities
Liaise with operations and IT team on the testing of new systems, new products and design new workflows, etc.
Working as part of the global distribution effort partnering with sales partners out of region
Requirements
Graduate from a top Tier University with Mathematics or Finance related major degree
Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of quantitative investment strategies
Work well under a fast paced and high pressured environment
Strong with numbers, proactive with a strong ability to manage time effectively
Possess the ability to manage and build internal relationships and nurture the development of network sales models working with cross discipline coverage and sales teams across APAC
