准格尔旗:“行走的医院” 把“医”靠送到群众家门口
'Mobile hospital' brings healthcare to Juungar villages
In recent years, Juungar Banner has actively explored the healthcare service model through its "mobile hospital" initiative, ensuring that minor illnesses are treated within villages and that major issues do not require travel beyond the banner. The region has focused on developing an "internet + healthcare" platform, deploying medical experts to grassroots communities, and equipping local doctors with intelligent general practitioner assistance kits. This initiative has significantly enhanced the hierarchical medical system, making healthcare more accessible and efficient.
Early in the morning, a doctor from Haizita Health Center in Xuejiawan town set off with a "mobile hospital" assistance kit. Driving to the home of Wu Cunyao, a villager from Haizita village in Xuejiawan town, the doctor unpacked the kit and conducted heart rate and blood pressure measurements and an ultrasound examination.
邬存耀告诉记者,自己患有慢阻肺、糖尿病等多种慢性病。去年开始,需要每天佩戴呼吸机,不方便出门,身体不舒服的时候,都是卫生院的医生上门为他做检查。
Wu, who suffers from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and diabetes, shared his experience: He has had to wear a ventilator daily since last year, which makes it difficult for him to go out. Whenever he feels unwell, doctors from the health center come to his home for check-ups.
"I am 79 years old, and going to the hospital is inconvenient. With just a phone call, the doctors come to my house for an examination and even deliver the necessary medication," Wu said.
Cui Wainv, a 72-year-old villager also from Haizita village, suffers from coronary heart disease and hypertension and requires regular check-ups. Thanks to the "mobile hospital", she no longer needs to travel to a hospital for care.
"They come to my home to perform electrocardiograms and B-ultrasound – it's very convenient. I can now access top-quality medical resources without leaving my house." Cui said.
Carrying a medical assistance kit to treat villagers has become the new norm for many grassroots healthcare workers. In the past, their tools were limited to thermometers, stethoscopes, and blood pressure monitors. However, with this advanced kit, they can visit patients anytime and even connect with specialists remotely for diagnoses. This powerful kit, about the size of a school backpack, is commonly called the "mobile hospital" and is packed with cutting-edge medical technology.
"Our medical assistance kit includes more than a dozen medical devices. It can provide electrocardiograms, routine blood and urine tests, B-ultrasound, and remote consultations. It even allows direct connections with specialists in Beijing and Shanghai for outpatient services, significantly improving diagnostic accuracy. The 'mobile hospital' delivers better healthcare services to the people and helps doctors make more precise diagnoses," explained Wang Houyun, a doctor at Haizita Health Center.
As of December 2024, the "mobile hospital" medical assistance kit had served more than 14,600 times, detecting and effectively treating over 20 cases of myocardial infarction and heart failure. It has also facilitated over 1,140 remote outpatient appointments, 1,067 remote consultations, 892 electrocardiogram diagnoses, and 640 remote electrocardiograph-assisted diagnoses.
