背中を覆うように発達した甲殻が特徴的な牙獣種。溶けた金属を付着させた甲殻をこすり合わせて赤熱することもある。別名「赫猿獣（かくえんじゅう）」。
火走りの時期に活性化し、脅威度が高まる。
