最近一段时间，微软布局人工智能（AI）的大动作频频。一方面，围绕应用开发和基础设施建设做“加法”：当地时间本周一，微软宣布成立一个全新的部门，名为“核心人工智能平台与工具”（Core AI - Platform and Tools），专注于开发端到端的AI应用平台与工具，涵盖从应用开发到部署和运行的整个过程。这一举措是微软整合现有AI开发部门和平台团队的成果，旨在加速自身AI基础设施建设、技术开发以及应用落地的进程。此前，微软还宣布计划在2025财年投资约800亿美元建设数据中心，以训练AI模型并部署AI和基于云的应用程序。
另一方面，为了更好地控制成本，微软也在公司架构和人员招聘等方面做“减法”：有媒体报道，微软正在裁减安全、体验和设备、销售和游戏等部门的员工，并计划暂停美国咨询业务的部分招聘，以控制开支。
不仅是微软，多家科技巨头也都在加大从大模型、云计算到应用场景的跨界布局力度。可以预见的是，2025年AI领域的竞争将会更加激烈。

ACWA Power Marks Milestone Entry into China's Renewable Energy Market
1月14日，全球大型私营海水淡化公司沙特国际电力和水务公司（ACWA Power）宣布签署横跨中国多个省份的可再生能源项目协议，首批项目的总装机量将超过1吉瓦。
On January 14, ACWA Power, the world's largest private water desalination company, announced its formal entry into China's renewable energy market with investment agreements for over 1GW of projects across multiple provinces.
据介绍，ACWA Power与其长期供应链合作伙伴阳光电源股份有限公司旗下的子公司阳光新能源开发股份有限公司签署了首份协议。双方将在广东省共同投运132兆瓦的太阳能光伏资产。
ACWA Power's first agreement with Sungrow Renewables—a subsidiary of its long-term supply chain partner—will see the development of a 132 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) portfolio in Guangdong province.
此外，ACWA Power 与新能源开发商和风机制造商明阳智慧能源集团股份公司签署了合作协议。该协议的初始投资组合规模为 200 兆瓦，为双方共同开发和投资中国风能资产奠定了基础。
The second agreement is with Mingyang Smart Energy Group, a renewable asset developer and wind turbine manufacturer. It established the foundation for both parties to jointly develop and invest in China's wind energy assets, with a starting portfolio of 200 MW.
据悉，上述两个项目总投资额达3.12亿美元。
The combined investment for the two portfolios amounts to USD 312 million.
AWS and General Catalyst Partner to Speed Up Development of Health-Care AI Tools
据外媒报道，亚马逊网络服务(AWS)与风险投资公司General Catalyst宣布建立多年的合作关系,旨在加速医疗人工智能工具的开发。
Recently, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and venture capital firm General Catalyst announced a multi-year partnership that aims to accelerate the development and deployment of health-care AI tools, according to foreign media reports.
此次合作中，General Catalyst的投资组合公司——将人工智能应用于医疗成像的Aidoc和利用人工智能自动化供应商工作流程的Commure——将是首批使用AWS服务的两家公司。
In this partnership, General Catalyst portfolio companies - Aidoc, which applies AI to medical imaging, and Commure, which automates provider workflows with AI - will be the first two companies to use AWS’ services.
报道称，美国的医疗系统紧张不堪，员工精疲力竭，劳动力日益短缺，利润微薄。对于有进取心的科技初创公司来说，这些挑战似乎很具吸引力，尤其是面对数万亿美元规模的医疗保健行业带来巨额财务回报前景之际。
According to the report, health systems are strained in the U.S., with staff burnout, growing labor shortages and razor-thin margins. These challenges often seem enticing for enterprising tech startups to tackle, especially as the multitrillion-dollar health-care industry dangles the prospect of large financial returns.
