Global Product Manager – Premium Audio Products
A major international audio brand and manufacturing group is seeking a senior audio product and market expert to take up a global category leader position within their business management team to lead and drive one of their premium UK audio brands, focusing on product roadmap, brand development and marketing.
About the role
As the lead domain expert you will act as the voice of the end user and customer, with responsibility for setting the brand’s strategic direction, product roadmap, and all aspects of commercial strategy, including pricing, market and competitor analysis, end customer engagement, and new product and technology business case development.
Responsible for the product portfolio from ideation through go to market and complete lifecycle management, you will work closely with the group sales, channel and distribution organization and network to ensure the successful achievement of business goals, and will also collaborate actively and closely internally, with research and development, manufacturing and supply chain teams.
This position is located at the group’s Manufacturing Headquarters in southern China but will involve regular travel internationally to visit local business offices, customer and partner sites and to attend company meetings and trade events.
About you
You are already experienced in audio product management and marketing, with particular experience in new product development and introduction, customer engagement, market analysis and competitor evaluation. You will likely have some relevant technical qualification to degree level or above in engineering or a related technical or scientific subject and ideally will also have a good understanding of and grounding in acoustics. This is an international role and to be successful it is required that you are fluent in written and spoken English.
You will likely already have some experience leading a team or managing people and resources, and you will possess the analytical, financial and numeracy skills to enable you to effectively work in detail in the financial and commercial aspects of this role. You should be a confident communicator, comfortable presenting to groups and explaining technical concepts relating to product design, performance and overall philosophy, as well as being able to articulate about the brand vision and market positioning.
As this position is on-site, you will be based near our client’s headquarters in South-Eastern China or be willing to relocate permanently there, and you will also be free and available to travel regularly.
