Clearing abandoned and ownerless bicycles on campus.
On September 20th, the school issued a notice regarding the distribution of exclusive tags for campus bicycles. All faculty, staff, and students are requested to affix the exclusive tags to their bicycles before October 31st. Starting from November 1st, the school will gradually clear unmarked abandoned bicycles. The cleared abandoned bicycles will be temporarily stored at the northwest corner plaza of the New Tsinghua Academy and will remain there until November 30th. During this period, if any bicycles are mistakenly cleared, faculty, staff, and students can contact the Security Office's Traffic Department with relevant proof of their bicycle to claim it. If any units have clearance needs, they can contact the Security Office's Traffic Department. From December 1st, the school will remove the abandoned bicycles from the campus. We appreciate everyone's understanding and cooperation! Let's work together to create a cleaner and more orderly campus environment!

Electro Jazz Duo QR CODE 2
This fall, Harmonious Melody is delighted to invite from France to China Electro Jazz Duo QR CODE 2 founded by virtuoso keyboardist Thierry Maillard and trumpet master Stéphane Belmondo. One is of Viking origin, and the other is from Tuscany. In this musical biography, they draw upon both their differences and the commonalities that their life journeys have brought them.Drawing on the influences that shaped them as men and musicians, the album’s compositions reflect a new phase in their lives, marked by absences, joyful memories, melancholy, and poetic tenderness. This electric collaboration reflects a lifetime dedicated to music, with one surrounded by 14 keyboards and the other bringing his trumpet, flugelhorn, and conch shells to life with pedalboards for the first time.Like an extension of their previous trio album with Sylvain Luc, Thierry Maillard and Stephane Belmondo pay homage to their recently departed friend, through a narrative bearing the same peaceful atmospheres they had shared and which they wished to continue exploring together.

A Physical Interpretation of Drift in a Deterministic Setup
Drift is often characterized in statistical terms. Yet such a purely statistical characterization is ambiguous for it can accept multiple physical interpretations. Because of this ambiguity it is important to distinguish what sorts of processes can lead to this statistical phenomenon. After presenting a physical interpretation of drift originating from the most popular interpretation of fitness, namely the propensity interpretation, I propose a different one starting from an analysis of the concept of drift made by GodfreySmith. Further on, I show how my interpretation relates to previous attempts to make sense of the notion of expected value in deterministic setups. The upshot of my analysis is a physical conception of drift that is compatible with both a deterministic and indeterministic world.
