The Science with AI Lab at the University of Liège (Belgium) has three
openings as part of a new funded project on foundation models for
weather and climate: - A 4-year PhD position focused on developing novel self-supervised
learning approaches for learning foundation models from meteorological
data; - A 2-year postdoc position working on physics-informed foundation
models (candidates with background in atmospheric sciences are
particularly encouraged to apply); - A 2-year postdoc position focusing on inverse problems and coupling
foundation models with physical simulators. The project aims to develop foundation models that properly integrate
physical constraints and handle the complexities of atmospheric data.
Our group maintains active collaborations with leading research
