We invite applications for a three-year postdoctoral research fellowship as part of the new ARC Centre of Excellence for the Weather of the 21st Century. Based within the School of Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at The University of Melbourne, the postdoctoral fellow will conduct research on mesoscale storms over Australia and surrounding oceans, using a combination of observations and climate model simulations to understand how storms might change in a future climate. The project will explore potential changes in storm organization and other characteristics, with relevance for high-impact weather, weather resources, and multi-scale interactions.

This position is funded by the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the Weather of the 21st Century. The incumbent will contribute to and benefit from being a part of a supportive and vibrant Centre community which offers unparalleled networking and professional development opportunities.
