A male courier in China secretly filmed his female customers and added vulgar comments to the videos, which he then posted online. This has sparked public outrage and led to his ban from social media platforms.
In mid-July, an internet user exposed a blogger using the alias “Hello, Food Delivery.” The blogger shared videos of women receiving deliveries from him, adding obscene remarks about their bodies, appearance, and lifestyle.
The blogger had nearly 20,000 followers on one video platform and released 33 clips over four months, featuring more than 100 women. On another platform, a user named “A Person Surnamed Huang” shared identical videos, attracting a million followers. The whistle-blower suggested that the two bloggers were likely the same person.
In the videos, the women's images were pixelated, but the delivery man's comments included remarks like, “This sister does not wear panties,” “She is tormenting me with her legs being longer than my life,” and “She made me suffer by wearing a navel-revealing dress.” Another clip included comments such as, “Her breasts are big,” “She is sexy in this pink camisole,” and “She has a pet dog so she must be single.”
After these videos gained widespread attention, both accounts were shut down. Many internet users suspected the blogger was a rider for Ele.me, as he wore their blue uniform in the videos.
Ele.me responded on July 24, stating they have zero tolerance for such behavior and that the delivery worker had quit last year. The company has reported him to the police.
The news triggered a strong reaction on social media. One user commented, “How disgusting he is. I don’t understand how he can have a million followers,” while another said, “This man has ruined the reputation of the whole food delivery industry.”
