环境中新污染物专题/Sci China Tech Sci

编者按




环境中新污染物(emerging contaminants)是指排放到环境中,具有生物毒性、环境持久性和生物积累性等特征,对生态环境或人体存在较大风险,但尚未纳入管理或现有管理措施不足的有毒有害化学物质。这些污染物包括(但不限于)持久性有机污染物、个人护理品、全氟烷基和多氟烷基物质(PFAS)、纳米材料、微塑料、抗生素、抗菌剂、激素和类固醇等。其存在的主要问题是,传统的废水处理工艺往往不能有效地消除这些污染物,导致它们存在于水、土壤和空气中。其持久性和生物累积性引发了人们对环境和健康影响的担忧。

    当前,环境中新污染物的研究正处于快速发展阶段,并 取得了一系列重要成果。然而, 面对新污染物复杂多样的特性,研究仍面临诸多挑战:(1) 如何建立全面、高效的检测和分析方法, 实现对环境中新污染物的精准识别与量化;(2) 如何评估新污染物的环境暴露与生态风险, 揭示其对生态系统和人体健康的潜在影响;(3) 如何开发新型的污染治理技术与风险管理策略, 有效控制新污染物的环境释放与迁移。

    因此,Science China Technological Sciences邀请福建农林大学周顺桂教授作为特邀编辑,组织出版了“环境中新污染物专题”。该专题汇集了浙江大学、南开大学、中国科学院城市环境研究所等顶尖机构的年轻学者的优秀科研成果,展示了检测方法、生态影响和修复技术等的最新进展。我们希望本专题的研究成果能为推进环境中新污染物治理、改善生态环境质量凝心聚力, 并激发科研人员对新污染物领域的进一步研究,为我们环境的保护和可持续性做出贡献。
