Long-term Chinese milk vetch incorporation promotes soil aggregate stability by affecting mineralogy and organic carbon

长期紫云英还田通过影响土壤矿物和有机碳提升土壤团聚体稳定性

土壤团聚体受土壤矿物与有机组分之间复杂相互作用调节,对土壤可持续性和作物生产力有深远影响。为探讨绿肥施用后土壤矿物和有机组分的变化及其对土壤团聚体的影响,本研究基于5年和36年的田间试验,采集了稻-稻-冬休(CK)和稻-稻-紫云英(MV)处理的淋溶土和铁铝土表层(0-20 cm)土壤样品,分析土壤团聚体稳定性、土壤矿物、有机碳组分及团聚体微观结构特征。结果显示,黏粒含量高的铁铝土比黏粒含量低的淋溶土具有更高的团聚体稳定性。淋溶土团聚体中的层状硅酸盐矿物主要为伊利石和蛭石,而铁铝土团聚体中的层状硅酸盐矿物以高岭石为主,并含有大量游离铁。此外,铁铝土黏粒组分中的芳香族碳丰度显著高于淋溶土。经过36年紫云英还田,铁铝土大团聚体的稳定性显著提高了9.57%-13.37%。紫云英还田还促进了蛭石向高岭石的转化,并显著提高了铁铝土中黏粒、游离铁和芳香族碳的含量。背散射电子(BSE)-扫描电镜(SEM)-能谱(EDS)分析结果表明,铁铝土团聚体结构紧密,铁氧化物与高岭石共定位。此外,偏最小二乘路径模型(PLS-PM)表明,黏粒含量对大团聚体稳定性具有直接的正向效应,而高岭石和游离铁通过直接影响芳香族碳,间接调节了黏粒的形成。综上所述,长期紫云英还田通过影响土壤矿物转化,生成更多的高岭石和铁氧化物,并通过保留芳香族碳促进了黏粒的形成,最终提升团聚体稳定性。

Factors affecting farmers' choice to adopt risk management strategies: The application of multivariate and multinomial probit models

This study investigates the factors that impact farmers' adoption of risk management strategies (RMS) in Pakistan during times of uncertainty. The study examines farmers’ RMS adoption choices using both multinomial probit (MNP) and multivariate probit (MVP). Data were collected from 382 sampled farmers from four districts in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province of Pakistan via a multistage sampling technique. This study utilizes the MNP model, considering the assumption of Independence of Irrelevant Alternatives (IIA) and incorporating correlated error terms. The objective is to understand farmers' behavior in risky situations and determine if there is heterogeneity. Results are compared with the MVP model to assess robustness and gain insights into farmers' decision-making processes. The research findings reveal that our results are robust, and farmers behave homogeneously in different settings of the provision of risk management strategies. Farmers adopt RMS individually or in combination to mitigate the adverse effects of natural calamities on their livelihood. The risk-averse farmers, who perceive weather-related risks as a threat, access credits and information, and have farms close to a river are more likely to adopt RMS, irrespective of the format of the strategies available. Moreover, the predicted probabilities and correlation of the RMS and RM categories further strengthened our model estimation. These findings provide insights into the behavior of farmers in adopting RMS which are helpful for policymakers and stakeholders in developing strategies to mitigate the impacts of natural calamities on farmers.

Genetic identification and characterization of a novel locus for wheat kernel length

小麦粒长新位点的遗传鉴定与特征分析

粒长是决定小麦粒重的组成因素之一。在本研究中,我们首先利用群体分离分析法和小麦60 K液相SNP芯片快速确定了小麦长粒突变体BLS2中2B染色体长臂可能含有粒长调控位点,然后进一步利用连锁图谱确定该位点是一个主效且稳定的QTL,即Qkl.sau-BC-2B.1,其定位于0.4 cM的遗传区间内,在不同环境下能解释17.01%-30.53 %的表型变异,其遗传效应和真实性在另一个群体中也得到进一步验证。Qkl.sau-BC-2B.1的正效应位点可以显著增加百粒重并延长开花期,但不影响植株高度、分蘖数、穗长和每穗小穗数。表达量和测序分析表明,基因TraesCS2B02G478100的编码区有个导致氨基酸变化的碱基变异,推测它很可能是该粒长位点的候选基因。另外,我们提出了一个新的解析产量相关性状遗传基础的模型。综上,本研究结果为后续开展粒长基因的挖掘和育种利用提供了基础。

基于容量还是含糖量征税:含糖饮料不同消费税收策略的消费者福利效应对比——中国经验

基于2014-2017年中国城镇居民家庭即饮液体饮料消费调查数据,本研究估算了各类饮料的价格弹性。在此基础上,对比分析了基于容量和基于含糖量两种征税策略的消费者福利效应。研究结果表明:在减少等量添加糖摄入量的情况下,基于含糖量的征税策略比基于容量的征税策略的补偿变化更小。这表明,在保护消费者福利方面,基于含糖量征税比基于产品容量征税的策略更有效。鉴于中国目前的饮料消费状况,相比于基于容量的征税策略,基于糖含量的征税策略具备显著的效率优势。以上结论可以为食品行业行业和政府在降低中国居民糖摄入水平方面提供了有益的启示。

Optimized application strategy of controlled-release nitrogen improves grain yield, nitrogen use efficiency and lodging resistance of rice

控释氮肥优化施用策略可提高水稻产量、氮肥利用效率和抗倒伏能力

倒伏是制约水稻产量的一个重要因素。如何在避免倒伏的情况下实现水稻产量和氮肥利用效率协同提高一直是世界各国关注的焦点。本研究以籼粳杂交稻甬优2640和常规粳稻金香玉1号为材料,进行了为期两年的田间试验。设置6种不同的氮肥管理处理,即氮空白(T1)、常规尿素(T2)、控释氮肥(T3)、控释肥减氮(T4)、控释氮肥和尿素基肥一次施(T5)、控释氮肥和尿素分期施(T6)。结果表明:与T2相比,控释氮肥配施策略(T5和T6)下氮肥利用效率和产量分别提高4.89—5.69%和3.41—4.65%;控释氮肥配施策略能显著提高水稻基部第二节间茎秆中碳水化合物含量、节间折断弯矩、茎秆表皮硅层厚度、大小维管束数量、薄壁组织和机械组织厚度,同时降低了节间长度、弯曲力矩和倒伏指数。上述结果表明,控释氮肥配施策略通过改善茎秆基部第二节间的形态学、力学和理化特征以及解剖学特性,在提高茎秆强度的同时实现了水稻高产高效。
