On July 10, the CHINA DIECASTING & CHINA NONFERROUS 2024 was grandly opened at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. LK Group made a significant landing at the CHINA DIECASTING 2024 with numerous new technologies as well as a new generation of die casting machines featuring all-electric die clamping technology, jointly exploring the new frontiers of die casting technology with the industry.

The LK Exhibition Stand recreated the first super intelligent die casting machine adopting 13000-ton dual injection technology on a 1:1 scale. 10000-TON PLUS DUAL INJECTION TECHNOLOGY


The successful development of 13000T giga dual-injection die casting equipment creatively solved the fatal problem caused by the performance attenuation at the far end of the product due to short injection distance. As another significant technical breakthrough in the die casting industry, 10000-ton plus dual injection technology are capable of producing larger-sized, higher-integrated casting for car body chassis, bringing new revolution for car manufacturing.

1.New two-platen direct-press clamping unit + smart compensation technology for high pressure clamping force.

2.High dynamic and precision injection system + intelligent dual closed-loop real-time control technology.

3.Closed-loop casting quality evaluation system + intelligent quality control technology.

LIVE DEBUT OF THE E-PRESS SERIES DCM


First DCM in China that uses all-electric die clamping technology with a high-frequency response servo motor. The control accuracy of mold opening and closing displacement can reach 0.01mm, and the repeated accuracy of the mold opening position is ≤ 0.05mm, which is 10 times higher than the accuracy of the traditional hydraulic machine. In addition, the application of intelligent die clamping force control technology and platen surface cladding and hardening technology ensures high quality of the castings. 


The control system adopts LK distributed IO control + 21-inch high-response industrial computer. The European standard humanized operation interface is more aesthetic and convenient, as well as the integrated control technology for the die casting unit, which greatly improves the working efficiency and system response speed. 


The injection system adopts a high-dynamic and high-precision injection system, with the injection pressure reaching 210 bar. It is equipped with intelligent dual closed-loop real-time control technology, ensuring the ultimate stability and accuracy of the die casting process.

TPI MAGNESIUM ALLOY SEMI-SOLID DIE CASTING TECHNOLOGY


TPI technology is the new, revolutionary way of Magnesium Thixomolding. It offers many advantages over conventional die casting. TPI modules are designed to turn any conventional die casting machine fully reversable into a Thixomolding system.


Product Optimization: Semi-Solid Casting offers a 20% increase in toughness, evident through higher elongation and tensile strength due to finer microstructure and less porosity.


No Protective Gas: TPI relies solely on electrical energy and eliminates the necessity for protective gases, contributing to an eco-friendlier manufacturing process.


Energy Efficiency: TPI offers a remarkable up to 50% reduction in energy consumption. This is achieved through a substantially lower operational temperature, reduced magnesium amount for product casting.


Flexibility: It can be conveniently and quickly switched between semi-solid magnesium alloys and cold chamber die casting. 


Cost Effective: If you already own die casting machine, you can turn them into Thixomolding-machines just by purchasing the suitable TPI Module.

NUMEROUS EV PARTS MADE A SURPRISING APPEARANCE


At this exhibition, LK brought a series of application examples such as the rear under body, battery packs, and motor housings of EV, vividly demonstrating how die casting technology helps the lightweighting of automobiles and the rapid development of EV industry. These exhibits are not only symbols of technological innovation but also a preview of the transformation of future travel methods.
