On August 12th, the 2024 World Youth Development Forum, themed “Youth Co-creating a Better Future,” opened in Beijing. Over 2,000 young representatives from more than 130 countries and more than 20 international organizations participated in the forum both online and offline. Ding Wenwen, the chairman of the Global Partners Union of Yucun and the Party Branch Secretary of the Dayucun Youth Talent Community, and Zhou Zhengxi, the chairman of the Yucun Operation Company, attended the forum.

8月15日，在第二个全国生态日之际，安吉余村收到了一份来自太空的礼物。

经国际天文学联合会小天体命名委员会批准，将编号为215458号的小行星命名为“余村星”。这标志着，“余村”的名字正式进入璀璨星空，首颗传播中国生态文明的小行星从此将在太空闪耀。

小行星命名具有严肃性、唯一性以及永久不可更改性，获得小行星命名是一项具有国际性和永久性的崇高荣誉。据了解，“余村星”于2002年8月15日由北冕天文台台长陈韬发现，近地点距离为2.4亿公里，轨道倾角4.23784度，近日点角距289.586度，轨道周期4.003年。

On August 15th, coinciding with the second National Ecology Day, Yucun in Anji received a gift from space. The asteroid with the number 215458 was named “Yucun Star” by the International Astronomical Union’s Minor Planet Center, marking the official entry of “Yucun” into the starry sky as the first asteroid to promote Chinese ecological civilization, which will now shine in space.

The naming of an asteroid is serious, unique, and permanently unchangeable, making it an internationally recognized and permanent honor. It is reported that “Yucun Star” was discovered by Chen Tao, the director of the Beimian Observatory, on August 15, 2002. It has a close distance of 240 million kilometers, an orbital inclination of 4.23784 degrees, a perihelion longitude of 289.586 degrees, and an orbital period of 4.003 years.

8月15日，来自美国、意大利、日本等国家的12家海外华文媒体来到安吉余村，大家对当地的“数字游民”现象表现出浓厚兴趣。越来越多的年轻人选择远离喧嚣的城市，来到安吉的青山绿水之间，通过互联网实现边度假边工作的生活方式，为乡村发展注入了新的活力。

《柬中时报》副总编辑张戈西表示：“余村的青来集项目让人印象深刻，‘数字游民’的这个概念很好，集聚了很多青年人才”。“以往我们对乡村的认知比较传统，今天看到安吉是特别欢迎和适合年轻人生活的地方，包括数字游民的社区，对我们青年人来说，是特别新颖的。”香港《镜报》上海分社记者庄彤琳说。

On August 15th, 12 overseas Chinese media outlets from countries including the United States, Italy, and Japan visited Yucun in Anji. There was a keen interest in the local “digital nomad” phenomenon. An increasing number of young people are opting to leave the hustle and bustle of cities to enjoy the green mountains and clear waters of Anji, working and vacationing via the internet, thereby infusing new vitality into rural development.

Zhang Ge Xi, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the “Cambodian-China Times,” said, “The Qinglai Collection project in Yucun is impressive; the concept of ‘digital nomads’ is excellent and has gathered many young talents.” Zhuang Tonglin, a reporter from the Shanghai branch of Hong Kong’s “Mirror,” said, “Our traditional perception of rural areas has been quite conventional, but today we see Anji as a place that is particularly welcoming and suitable for young people to live, including communities of digital nomads, which is very novel for our youth.”

8月16日下午，湖州余村举行了“大手拉小手 生态文明行”科普活动，吸引了近百名世界科技工作者、中国科技代表和湖州青少年代表参与。

活动中，大家深入交流，实地感受余村生态文明的发展。在展示馆内，嘉宾们了解了余村的智慧农业、旅游、平安管控和环境监测等先进智慧化管理措施；参观”千万工程”展示馆，见证了安吉乡村的巨大变化，对当地政府探索现代化乡村路径的努力表示赞赏。在电影院，通过纪录片深入了解余村的绿色转型历程。此外，嘉宾们还体验了书法、漆扇、茶艺等中国传统文化。

On the afternoon of August 16th, the “Hand in Hand for Ecological Civilization” science popularization event, co-hosted by the World Federation of Science and Technology (WFST) Executive Committee and the young people of Huzhou, was held in Yucun, Anji. Nearly a hundred participants, including members of the WFST Executive Committee, representatives of Chinese science and technology workers, and young representatives from Huzhou, were in attendance.

8月16日-17日“春泥计划”UNDP Movers4Climate“可持续发展绿色乡村青年行动”项目来到了浙江省安吉县天荒坪镇余村村。

项目团队由全球社会事业委员会执行董事王则开老师带队，团队成员分别为来自澳门科技大学的林艺奕、北京林业大学的周烨琪、纽约大学阿布扎比分校的李墨文。他们围绕青少年可持续发展目标介绍、气候行动、水下生活、自然与生物多样性等主题进行专题授课，用视频、图片、案例、启发式提问等方式让课程生动且有趣。来自余村及周边乡村近500名学生通过线下或线上方式参与活动。

From August 16th to 17th, the “Spring Mud Project” ——the UNDP Movers4Climate “Sustainable Development Green Rural Youth Action” initiative arrived in Yucun Village, Tianhuangping Town, Anji County, Zhejiang Province.

The project team was led by Mr. Wang Zekai, the Executive Director of the Global Social Welfare Committee, and included team members Lin Yiyi from the University of Macau, Zhou Yeqi from Beijing Forestry University, and Li Mowen from New York University Abu Dhabi. They conducted thematic teaching sessions on youth introduction to sustainable development goals, climate action, underwater life, nature, and biodiversity, making the courses lively and interesting through videos, pictures, case studies, and heuristic questioning. Nearly 500 students from Yucun and surrounding villages participated in the event through offline or online methods.

8月20日这个美妙的周二晚上，2024 NAGA GUITARS音乐系列汤姆·鲁门（匈牙利）音乐文化交流会在余村乡音小馆举行。
