The Mutianyu Great Wall is a good option for visitors with a full day to devote to the wall, as well as families looking for not-too-strenuous hiking away from the crowds.
Trees are laden with sweet fruit in autumn, and especially in October, leaves turn red or yellow, touching the mountain tops with gold. In winter, the wall is covered by snow, making it more magnificent.

Day trip
We will pick you up at 2 meeting points in the morning and it takes us one and half hour to reach without traffic jam.
Mutianyu Great Wall was first built in Northern Qi (550-577). In Ming Dynasty, General Xu Da constructed the Great Wall on its former base. The Mutianyu Pass was built in 1404.
The fortifications and the Great Wall here are featured by many watchtowers on overlapping mountain ranges. The wall, built with slabs of stone, is crenellated on both sides with bricks. The wall provides better protection and ward off attacks with Juyongguan in the west and Gubeikou in the east.
Travelers can choose to climb to the top via restored steps equipped with handrails, or opt for a leisurely cable car ride to the highest section. From the top of the cable car, visitors can explore the area before hopping back on for a return trip, taking one of the trails leading back down, or continuing east along the wall to the toboggan ride for a slide back to the bottom.
And we leave around 16:00pm and back to Beijing at 17:30pm if no traffic jam.

About the area：
The scenic area has two entrances: south entrance and north entrance. Around one hour to climb the 4,000+ steps.
🚶Hiking:
1️⃣Go through the North Entrance, you will hike up to No. 10 or No. 8 Watchtower.
2️⃣Go through the South Entrance, and you will arrive at No. 8 or Zhengguan Terrace (No. 6 Watchtower).
3️⃣Upon arriving up there, you can hike either northward or southward. The northward route between No. 14 watchtower and No. 23 watchtower has the most beautiful scenery, while the southward route contains the grand Zhengguan Terrace and Big Corner Tower.
Cable Car :
Apart from hiking, you may also take a cable car up to the No. 14 Watchtower. The lower station is near the North Entrance, so you can easily find it. It is safer and smoother than the toboggan, even suitable for children and senior visitors.
Speed Slide :
The slide is a new sport, also for fun, commonly known as "Land Sled". It utilizes the principle of acceleration of gravity to drive the pulley and tramcars down the mountain dive, full of thrill and excitement,but it's safe and comfortable at the same time. You' ll like flying or driving a race car. Besides, the speed slide has a brake device, which can both speed up and slow down. So it's good for both the young and the old. This stainless steel equipment is made by a Germany company, called Wiegand, and it has a total length of 1580meters. This speed slide, can carry you safely from the mountain top to the foot of the Great Wall
