2024年10月，韩国女作家韩江获得了诺贝尔文学奖。

In October 2024, Han Kang, a South Korean female writer, won the Nobel Prize in Literature.

龙旦对妻子那塔莎说道：“消息传到韩国，那真是举国上下像开了锅一样。”

Dan Loong said to his wife Na Tasha, “When the news spread to South Korea, the whole country was in an uproar.”

“沸腾了？你读过韩江的作品吗？”

“Like a boiling pot? Did you ever read any works of Han Kang?”

龙旦答道：“读过，但是不多。我读过《素食者》和《童佛》。韩江是获得诺贝尔文学奖的第一位韩国作家，也是第一位亚洲女作家。”

“Any literary award has its own evaluation criteria. But, anyhow, none of them is the only criterion for serious literature. Relying on topics and titles to attract the audience and seek for popularity will surely not have a long lifespan. There are indeed some tricks to winning awards. One is to disrupt the existing cognition of the readers. Another is to write extremely long texts and win awards by relying on voluminous works. But where is the artistry? Where is the ideological content? Also, I have found that the judges of the Nobel Prize in Literature intend to find a novice who will have development prospects in the future. Sweetheart, what are you watching on your phone again?”

那塔莎说道：“老公，要想学会懂生活，很难。能够做到会生活，更难。几十年的艰辛生活，我们己经很苦很累了，无需再对自已和他人进行责备。奔波的人生，我们只要尽心尽力就好。”

龙旦笑道：“不愧是作家的夫人，轻易就能出口成章。作为博士的太太，话语也很有哲理。我现在，一概不写评论文章，你知道为什么吗？原因是所有的外部环境都是内心的投射，因为这个世界上，没有别人，只有自己。我们看到的、想到的、对外评判的东西，其实都是针对我们自己的。”

Dan Loong laughed and said, “As expected of a writer's wife, you can easily speak in a literary way. And, as the wife of a Ph.D., your words are also very philosophical. Now, I don't write any book review articles at all. Do you know why? Because, all external circumstances are projections of the inner self. And in this world, there is no one else but oneself. “Hubby, it's not that I'm praising you without a good reason. Your works have a concise and lively writing style and contain lots of information. Unlike the works of some other writers which are like a smelly, long foot-binding cloth of the ancient women. In my opinion, you have truly received the true teachings of Hemingway. Oh, and also, your Uncle Wang, Wang Zengqi, did teach you that no matter what the subject matter is, you can write about it marvelously. So, your writing resources will never be exhausted.”

龙旦说道：“我哪里有那么好？你没看到呀，我自己认为是自己写得最佳的一个短篇小说，居然被审查人给毙了。唉，我今天简直要被气死了！”

Dan Loong remarked, “Am I really that good? Haven't you seen that the short story I consider my best one was actually rejected by the reviewer. Alas, I am extremely angry today!”

“你不就是没有发表吗？你自己再仔细修改一下嘛。呵呵。你看看咱们周围，百分之九十多的中国人，都在踏踏实实地工作，靠出卖体力来挣钱养家。中国的农民工，都在靠自己的劳动来谋生。靠劳动来谋生，有什么不好？有些人比较贫穷，这也怪不得别人，比如说，俺的命就比较苦，但也不能怪特朗普，”那塔莎说着，自己就笑了。

“You just haven't got it published? You can just modify it carefully by yourself. Hah hah. Look around us. More than ninety percent of Chinese people are working steadfastly and making a living by selling their physical strength. 一个浮躁的社会，制造出来许多浮躁的作家。我指的是那些自称为诗人和作家的写作者。浮躁的作家反过来又加剧了社会的浮躁风气。然而，看一看法国的让・保罗・萨特（Jean-Paul Sartre），一位教授、作家和哲学家。他曾被称为 “臭老九”。在获得了1964年的诺贝尔文学奖后，他不仅没有到瑞典首都斯德哥尔摩去领奖，而且还正式官宣，他坚决不接受那个所谓的奖项！因此，在全世界的历史中，只有萨特是唯一的一位真正的得道者。

In a fickle society, many fickle writers are produced. I am referring to those who call themselves poets and writers. Fickle writers, in turn, exacerbate the fickle atmosphere of society. However, look at Jean-Paul Sartre, a professor, writer, and philosopher in France. He was a so-called ‘stinking intellectual’. 因此，丹龙有了这样的思想感悟：“所有你已经获得的东西，都是你通过努力赢得的，也是你应该得到的。所有你已经失去的东西，都是你从未真正得到过的，所以它们并不曾属于你。因此，你没有什么可遗憾或懊悔的，因为一切都有因果。”

Therefore, Dan Loong had got such ideological insights: “All that you have obtained is what you have won through your efforts and is what you should get. All that you have lost is what you have never truly obtained, so it doesn't belong to you. Therefore, there is nothing for you to regret or feel remorseful about, because everything has a cause and effect.”
