A night at 'Changping Everbright City' to celebrate Chinese New Year
As night falls, a giant phoenix lantern lights up the sky above the "Changping Everbright City," a cultural park on the outskirts of Gaoping City, northern China's Shanxi Province. Gaoping City, known as one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization, was called Changping in the Warring States period (476 BC-221 BC). Since the Spring Festival on January 29, the cultural park has been putting on exciting shows and activities to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
