MR China was incorporated in Shanghai in 2006 as a wholly owned subsidiary of MR in China, charged with sales, customer support and technical maintenance of all MR products in the Chinese market. In addition to core MR products - tap changers for power transformers, transformer accessories and electronic products - we also sell Messko® products.


With around 140 employees in our Shanghai office, we offer our customers a quick response and professional product assistance, including application-specific solutions, technical support and on-site maintenance. To improve communication with customers, our company is structured around the sales department, which blends together sales, customer support and technical maintenance to create a brand new one-stop seamless experience for customers. Should an emergency situation arise, our experts will be there as soon as possible to fix the problem on-site.

Product Manager (Trainee)

This role supports the development and management of our product portfolio, ensuring our products satisfy market demands and customer expectations. We seek individuals with strong technical skills and the potential for management roles. Our program includes German training to develop both your technical expertise and leadership skills for future positions.


What challenges can you expect?

  • Develop and implement the product strategy in line with the company\'s overall business goals and market trends.

  • Analyze market data and customer feedback to identify new product opportunities and enhance existing product offerings.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product initiatives with company strategies and objectives.

  • Assist in managing the product development lifecycle from concept to market launch.

  • Monitor product performance and market acceptance, providing regular updates and recommendations for improvement.

  • Support the preparation of product documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and marketing materials.

  • Responsible for the success of assigned products, including market performance, customer satisfaction, and financial objectives.

What do we expect from you?

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field.

  • Previous internship or experience in product management or a related role within the power industry.

Order Processor

订单处理工程师

 Location: Shanghai

What challenges can you expect?

  • Advising OEM customers in regard to all technical inquiries relating to the MR product range.

  • Analyzing and coordinating technical requirements for scheduled customer projects.

  • Cooperation with ASM in regard to the commercial clarification of offers and orders.

  • Compiling, analyzing and sending offers and order confirmations for products, components, parts and services for designated OEM customers.

  • Provide designated OEM customers / operators with technical support and after-sales servicing. Processing of complaints and disruptions including problem assessment, implementation of appropriate actions, follow-up and correspondence, where necessary with technical support through specialist departments.

  • Assist with and implementing complex technological projects depending on skills and qualifications.

  • Make presentations regarding maintenance strategies / technical issues to customers and at conferences.


What do we expect from you?

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or related.

  • Experience in power technology and owning basic knowledge of the machine construction industry and transformer.

  • Good command of English (written & spoken).

  • Computer skills, e.g. SAP, Excel, PPT.

Technical Service Engineer

What challenges can you expect?

  • Performance of repair and maintenance work in regard to the designated product spectrum depending on personal qualifications and in accordance with current guidelines.

  • Drafting of technical service reports and forwarding of important information to responsible order processors.

  • Provision of specialized support for colleagues and other departments (product specialist).

  • Problem assessment in regard to OLTC units and assembly groups depending on personal qualifications.

  • Monitoring and evaluation of high voltage tests and oscillographs depending on personal qualifications.


What do we expect from you?

  • Bachelor degree of Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics related.

  • At least 2 years related work experience in state owned grid companies or service companies for the national power grid are preferred.

  • Good command of English (written & spoken).

  • High willingness to travel, also abroad;

  • Assessment, prioritization and planning of customer inquiries

Customer Support Engineer

What challenges can you expect?

  • General product trainings for OEM customers and end-users to ensure compliance with the specifications of the Operating Instructions.

  • Introduction of new products (training on assembly steps including unpacking, testing, etc.) for OEM customers.

  • Creation and, where necessary, implementation of improvements to product-related assembly steps at our OEM customers.

  • Customer retention through the supervision of tests for complex applications.

  • Collection and forwarding of "basic feedback" from OEM assembly, quality management, etc.

  • Analysis of the value chain of our OEM customers as far as possible along the product chain.

  • Write technical reports or statements at the request of the customer.


What do we expect from you?

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of Automation.

  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in the field service field, preferably with experience in technical service for power substations and transformer OEMs.

  • A good command of English (both written and spoken).

  • A high willingness to travel.

  • Highly developed analytical skills.

  • Knowledge of cause-analysis tools (such as 5W, Ishikawa, error tree, etc.).

  • Good communication, negotiation, and skills in systematic problem-solving approaches.

Marketing Officer/Assistant

What challenges can you expect?

  • Assist in maintaining and updating the company website and groupnet.

  • Translate and proofread brochures, design and publish print advertisements.

  • Be responsible for the translation and subtitle production of social media video content.

  • Participate in the planning and arrangement of Corporate Social Responsibility.

  • Organize customer training activities, making rational use and arrangement of the Show Room/Conference Center.

  • Translate and proofread technical and business materials, including technical manuals, brochures and flyers, etc.

  • Assist to other Marketing Communication assigned tasks when necessary.


What do we expect from you?

  • Bachelor's degree or above in German or Marketing related field.

  • Excellent command of written and spoken German, English & Chinese.

  • Relevant language certification, such as PGG-4 / CGT-6.

  • Strong problem solving, presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail minded, flexible and good time management skills.

  • Relevant translation experience in the power industry or similar fields is preferred.
