栩栩如生的龙凤呈祥、福寿绵长的麒麟献瑞，活泼灵动的花孔雀……执着骨雕二十多年的准格尔旗80后骨雕手艺人康军良，将一幅幅生动的图景雕刻于骨头之上，在丰富自己生活之余，也在积极传承着这门古老的技艺。
In Juungar Banner, Kang Junliang, a talented artisan, has been dedicated to crafting intricate bone carvings for over two decades. Kang has honed his skills to create lifelike depictions of dragons, peacocks, kirins, and other traditional motifs on animal bones. He is making active efforts to preserve this ancient craft which has greatly enriched his life.
Engaging in the catering business, Kang, 40, finds solace and fulfillment in the art of bone carving during his leisure time. Nowadays, he is carving a Buddha figure onto a cow skull. With an electric carving knife in hand, he carefully traces the pre-designed patterns onto the cow skull, each stroke landing precisely and flawlessly onto the bone, demonstrating his unparalleled craftsmanship.
Reflecting on his journey, Kang said, "I started learning bone carving around the age of six when I saw my father working on small pieces after I got off school. I was amazed at how such hard bones could be carved with such exquisite designs, sparking a deep desire in me to learn the craft."
康军良介绍，骨雕技艺是一种以牛、羊等动物骨骼为原材料雕刻成工艺品的传统手工艺，骨雕作品需经过除油晾晒、选料设计、切割打磨、药物处理、勾图雕刻、抛光上彩、组装成品等20多道工序。在康军良的工作室里，摆放着横版、竖版、镂空等多件近期创作的骨雕艺术品。
He said that bone carving is a traditional handicraft that involves sculpting animal bones, such as those from cows and sheep, into intricate works of art. Kang explained that the process includes steps like degreasing, drying, material selection, design, cutting, polishing, carving, coloring, and assembly, comprising over 20 meticulous steps. In Kang's studio, there are several recent bone carvings on display, including horizontal, vertical, and hollow designs.
“那是在我17岁时，记得我的第一件作品完成的是在牛肋骨上面做了一个松鹤延年。当时，我记得好像是废掉了五六根儿骨头，当作品出来以后，我信心倍增。从那以后就一直在做，坚持了将近20年。”康军良说。
"I remember my first piece was a 'pine and crane symbolizing longevity' carved onto a cow's rib bone, which was completed when I was 17 years old. I must have wasted five or six bones before the piece was completed. However, when it was finished, my confidence soared. I've been doing this ever since for nearly 20 years." Kang said.
二十多年来，康军良创作了上百件骨雕作品，创意均来自中国传统文化中的龙凤、麒麟、佛像以及象征美好的花鸟鱼虫。不仅如此，他还精通蛋雕、果蔬雕刻、面塑等多种雕刻技艺。
Over the years, Kang has created hundreds of bone carvings, drawing inspiration from Chinese traditional culture and incorporating symbols like dragons, phoenixes, kirins, Buddhas, and various flora and fauna. In addition to bone carving, he is also adept at egg carving, fruit and vegetable sculpting, and dough modeling.
“接下来，我想把骨雕做的小型化，雕刻一些扳指、戒指等人们能佩戴的饰品，融入到生活当中，让更多人知道骨雕的魅力。”康军良说。
"Next, I want to miniaturize bone carving, sculpting accessories like brooches and rings that people can wear, integrating them into daily life to let more people appreciate the artform." he said.
