The 2024 Shenzhen Bougainvillea Show, showcasing the stunning array of nature's colors and beautiful floral designs, officially kicked off November 9th at Lianhua Hill Park in Futian District, the main venue of the show.
The show, which will run through Nov. 17, also has two subvenues at the Bougainvillea Valley Park in Bao’an District and Pingshan District Central Park.
This year, the main venue at Lianhua Hill Park displays over 320 varieties of bougainvillea flowers. The overall layout adopts a “one route, two zones” design, which features a main route from the South Gate Square to the Summit Square, and two core exhibition zones at the southern Yuxiu Garden and the northern UpperHills Great Lawn. The total exhibition area spans 200,000 square meters.

The flower show at the main venue includes six major attraction sites and 10 themed activities including the Lianhua Hill Grassland Music Festival, Park Coffee Festival, and AI application scenes along Jingui Road.
Among the attraction sites, Yuxiu Garden, located at the intersection of Jingui Road and Honglan Road, displays nearly 10,000 pots of high-quality bougainvillea bonsai, potted plants, and featured bougainvillea species.
Urban Flower Fair at the Great Lawn of Coconut Breeze Forest adjacent to the park’s south gate showcases garden installations created by seven outstanding landscape companies. There are also 24 booths displaying and selling bougainvillea and other floral and gardening products.

Dreamy Heart Corridor, located on the west side of Lotus Lake, sets over 20 large heart-shaped floral arches to create a nearly hundred-meter-long romantic flower corridor.
Shady Residence, situated at the northeast corner of the park, was designed with multiple pavilions by taking advantage of the bougainvillea’s sprawling growth characteristics.
Floral Trellis, near the UpperHills Great Lawn, displays installations such as floral walls, flower beds, and trellises made of diverse forms of bougainvillea. The South Gate Square with a themed floral installation leads visitors immediately into a flower world via the gate.
The Park Coffee Festival is part of the 2024 Shenzhen Bougainvillea Show.
This year’s Park Coffee Festival hosts 85 coffee brands, half of which are Shenzhen brands. There are also brands from Beijing and Shanghai and others from Japan, Italy and the U.S.
Additionally, this year’s Park Coffee Festival for the first time has introduced AI coffee machines, which can make an Americano in less than one minute and a latte within three minutes.
The Park Coffee Festival offering free admission will run through Nov. 24. Citizens can access the festival through the South Gate Square.
According to the city’s urban management authority, since all the parking spots of Lianhua Hill Park are closed during the flower show, visitors can take the Metro instead, with the Children’s Palace on Lines 3 and 4, and Lianhua West on Line 2 as the closest stations.
