Fully Funded Ph.D. Position in Climate-Energy NexusThe Urban Climate Research Lab in the Department of Atmospheric and Earth Science (AES) at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is seeking a Ph.D. student in Atmospheric Science, starting as early as Spring or Fall 2025. This NSF-funded position will support research on climate changes in the United States and their impacts on energy systems. The selected student will have opportunities to collaborate with state climatologists and interdisciplinary project team from UAH, National Center for Atmospheric Research, New Mexico State University and other universities.The ideal candidate should have a strong quantitative background in one or more of the following areas: atmospheric science, climatology, statistics, big data analytics, or related physical sciences. Familiarity with at least one programming language (such as R, Python, or MATLAB) is highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are also expected.Application
