为深入贯彻落实习近平总书记视察天津重要讲话精神，坚持以文化人、以文惠民、以文润城、以文兴业，在发展新质生产力、推动文化传承发展上善作善成，调动发挥在津外国企业商会代表、专家学者、留学生、国际友城驻津代表等“身边的国际社会”关注天津、热爱天津、宣介天津的积极性，服务外籍人士更好融入天津，自2024年6月起，天津市对外友协联合我市有关单位，举办了“‘身边的国际社会’眼中的天津”AI创作绘画大赛，得到在津外籍人士的积极响应，共收到参赛作品500余幅。
作品通过“身边的国际社会” 的独特视角，聚焦讲好中国故事的天津篇章，观察和描绘出天津经济社会高质量发展成就、城市美丽景观、市民幸福生活、绿色生态、智能科技、港产城融合发展等图景，并创新性地将AI虚拟技术和元素融入现实场景，充分展现了“身边的国际社会”眼中的魅力津城和他们对天津的热爱之情。
