| Multiple PhD positions in 3D Optical Sensing Laboratory (3DOSL) at The University of Georgia Principal Investigator: Dr. Beiwen Li University of Georgia https://engineering.uga.edu/team_member/beiwen-li/ Program PhD in Mechanical Engineering Description Multiple PhD positions are available in Spring 2025 or Fall 2025 in Dr. Beiwen Li's research group (3D Optical Sensing Laboratory) at The University of Georgia. Selected candidates will work with Prof. Li to develop novel 3D optical sensing solutions and explore their applications in areas including in-situ monitoring for manufacturing and remanufacturing processes, surface characterization, robotics, and machine vision for agriculture. Priorities will be given to candidates with strong programming skills. Candidates without a master's degree are expected to hold a bachelor's degree in a related STEM area, including but not limited to Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics.
